 Almost done, may go up for sale assuming that it runs. Broken header stud replaced. There are a few small things wrong with it (broken fairing stay, throttle cable plastic part, etc.) that I will probably not be fixing. I _might_ weld the fairing stay to make it one solid piece though. It won't be perfect. There's a couple of broken wires (kickstand switch, possibly turn signals) that would need repaired. I assume it has about 22k miles, I have not installed the battery yet. 10-1 update Little more progress on it. Cranks over, still missing a single 90 degree fitting, so no oil in it yet. Fuel pump is a little noisier than I'd like, but appears to prime. The bad, gonna need new headlight assembly possibly, definitely new bulbs. Not sure who did it, but someone started installing HID's in it and well, it's just not a pretty thing. Neither headlight is hooked up and I'm not going to connect the wiring since it looks a bit janked up. No ballast for the HID on one side, standard (but incorrect) bulb on the other. Fairing stay has been welded, but not repainted. Still priced at $2k. Will go up if I finish it and make it run. Personally, I'd call this one either a 5 or maybe a 6 out of 10, but you'd have to be somewhat blind to go past the 6. It's not perfect by any stretch, the $2k is what I have in it with purchase price & parts. 21007 miles, I installed the battery to check mileage and verify that it cranks over. Also has a magnaflow muffler on it now, price is $2300. Still needs headlights though. |
