Hello everyone, a local racer who I have seen several times on Japanese bikes at our local track days, but yesterday he was on a 2014 1190rs! I immediately ran over to ask him about it, and this thing was insane, it had a full EBR race exhaust, full carbon RACE fairings, custom billet shift linkage for quick shifter, billet footrests, Carbon wheels "Can't remember brand, began with a P I believe", he also said he removed one of the two head gaskets which upped the CP, he told me it dynoed at 204HP on Race fuel! I feel inclined to believe him because I was on my 1198R, and he was pulling me at all times. After we were done he came over and asked if I would be interested in buying the bike from him, he says he is just getting too old for racing, and wants an adventure bike. I tell him there is no way I could afford a bike kitted like that right now, I say to him "You would have to sell it for 10k", he pondered for a second and said "I can do that, but I want to finish my last racing season on my favorite bike if that is alright with you"... At this point my jaw is on the floor, I already have too many bikes as is, so I had to tell him I sadly can't buy it, but I will spread the word for him. Would anyone here be interested in a unbeleivable 1190rs race bike for 10k? | ||

I'd probably buy it for $10k. Might have to sell one of my other ones though. | ||

There were no RS models built in 2014. Either it is a 2012 or 2013, or it is an RX. There were 100 1190RS models built in 2012 and 35 built in 2013. (Message edited by phelan on January 21, 2017) | ||

I probably just misunderstood him, it was more than likely a 2012. | ||
