Hi Guys My fuel light is staying on even after I fill it ,this has happened now around 3 times. Can this be fixed or do I need a new pump ? Hope you Guys can HELP Thanks Steve |

don't wait for your "billy to boil"...go here: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/760318.html?1431529294 look at posts from 1313 a fuel sensor from an XB works....Al at American sport bike used to sell them...might want to PM him to see if he has any ...or try your HDdealer down under...either way the pump has gotta come out of the frame...hope this helps |

Zack (Zac4mac), Can you provide a longevity report on your solution to this LFL problem? You had suggested adding a resistor in parallel to the fuel level thermister at it's connector under the seat to bring it's resistance back into the acceptable range of 850~1200 Ohms? Has the thermister's resistance remained stable or has it continued to degrade rendering this fix temporary? My LFL light is on continuously. I will replace the thermister eventually but I thought I'd wait until I have to adjust the valves and combine the jobs. Thanks, Paul. |
