Posted to EBRforum.com some time ago; AF1 updated this morning to say they still have these in stock (they bought out the original manufacturer after EBR went into receivership). $249.99 for all 3 pieces. I bought a set as well for my 1125. They are perfect and with a very friendly price. |

What's the likelihood I'd need a set over the life of my bike? This is my first liquid-cooled bike and I want to be prepared. Would purchasing radiator grilles/guards be sufficient for protecting the delicate fins or is it inevitable that they'll fail? |

I can only speak from my experience, and have at least oil cooler guards on all of mine, and for some, radiator guards too. Radiators seem well made, and will probably only fail over a long time. Oil cooler is in kind of a vulnerable position. I bought a set because I destroyed an oil cooler on an 1125 (I am cursed with flying rocks). Figured it was better to have a spare given my luck. |
