Posted in the facebook groups: Online VIN Registry for EBR Motorcycles All information was initially compiled from public sources, such as forums, ebay, youtube, craigslist, dealer websites, facebook, and this group. Special thanks to Dean Adams, Dave Nelligan and William Walker for creating the Laguna Blue and 1190 Owners Group, and for helping track down VINs. And to AF1 Racing for hosting the EBR Forum, and to other forums such as badweatherbikers.com and buellxb.com. These all helped foster a collaborative environment. The goal is to have a single, accurate, online document for all model year EBR motorcycles that can be updated by anyone (same concept as wiki) with a web browser. This is intended to be a "living" document that is updated in place, so no need to download, modify, and re-upload. The rules are: Due to perceived privacy concerns, the doc only includes the last 3 digits on a VIN for starters. Only if you are the owner of a VIN or have owner permission should you add personal info to the document. Personal info is considered Owner Name, City, State, forum handle, purchase price, full VIN, etc. Other document data, such as dealer, asking price, and general comments are open to anyone. We have a ton of data collected and think it's time to share and get the gaps filled in! Let's all help keep this updated and accurate! |

What is the utility of such a list? |

I disregarded the Shelby registry back in the 80's and had a real problem documenting the authenticity of a Shelby I owned. After saying that, an EBR is not easily replicated from some other source |

Any luck finding any of those 100 1190RS units that were built? |

I'll add to that Court... How about the 51 XBRR's. Who knows, other than a few of which I am aware at 3 dealers... and they ain't talking much. |

A new entry, for 1190RS #56, was added already. Hopefully the trend continues! |

Any luck finding any of those 100 1190RS units that were built? Not exactly the same, but Graham and I stumbled upon this a few weeks back:
Same, same, but different... 1313 |

Is that at Barber? |

Is that at Barber? Unfortunately I've never been to Barber's...yet! Once they complete their expansion of the museum, it should be an even larger experience to enjoy. Funny that Graham and I were actually talking about Barber's after that Saturday's adventures. That pic was shot in the 'warehouse' of a former EBR dealer, and a former Buell dealer - incidentally - paramount to Buell history. Earlier that day one of the salesmen said that they would be getting back into selling EBR and that Erik was there recently to discuss sustainable 2017 products... I didn't talk price on the EBR RS, probably because I was in awe when I saw 00001 on the VIN label, but the 1190RX's and 1190SX's that were in the 'warehouse' were being blown out at $10K. Sorry for the threadjack, 1313 |

"Any luck finding any of those 100 1190RS units that were built?" 2 of those 100 1190RS bikes are sitting in my showroom in Colorado. |

That pic was shot in the 'warehouse' of a former EBR dealer, and a former Buell dealer - incidentally - paramount to Buell history I sure hope that you are talking about Battley Cycles. It's where I bought my 1125r and where I had the initial service performed on my 1190sx. |

I know Battley had an RS on display a while back but can't recall if it was #001... And if Brankin was that close to my house without saying hello, I'm gonna come shit in his Defender saddlebag as a "hey, thanks for stopping by" reminder. Bum. |

I guess I wasn't cryptic enough... Joe, Choose the right bag as that's the one I haven't been able to open (without resorting to somewhat destructive means). If you can get it open, drop a log and lock it back up. I had another meeting in DC on a Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning. Since I had purchased some fairly large items from Graham, I opted to take a rental car instead of flying up. Because of that I went up the Friday before the meeting and hung out with Graham the entire weekend. Actually - shame on you Joe for not informing me of this dealer - I didn't find out about it, or it's significance, until AFTER I visited you... So when Graham moved to DC and I was going to hang out with him for the weekend, I knew what was on my/our agenda for Saturday. Thankfully Graham did not succumb to the pressure and hasn't bought a bike yet (as far as I know). Sunday we went to the Air and Space dealio by Dulles - I'm not into planes like most others are but, DAMN, what a place! SR-71 blackbird, Space Shuttle Discovery, the Enola Gay, a Concorde, and a whole bunch of other stuff, more stuff and even more stuff. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR SURE! Sunday evening I had to show some European colleagues around, so it's not like I had much 'free' time. How far are you from, say, Falls Church, VA? It seemed like it took forever for me to get from your place to the meeting in DC a couple of years back... Quit making me threadjack this thread... To get back on track, like Dan mentioned 2 1190RS bikes are sitting in his showroom. I know 2 people who each own 2 1190RS bikes, Rob Weaver has one, Barber's has 1190RS VIN 0001, a couple more by affiliation on Facebook, and I am guessing I could probably easily locate 10% of those 100 bikes. Oh yeah, doesn't Pat Mooney own one of Pegram's old 1190RS bikes? But being a racebike, it probably doesn't have a VIN and therefore - for these purposes - wouldn't count? Personally I don't think it would be too difficult to 'locate' a majority of the 100 1190RS's (nor the 56-57 XBRR's), but maybe I've just become an optimist... 1313 |

Sorry Brankin, I figured since you're old-timey Buell and all that, you'd already know about Battley and his connection to Erik |

Henry Arends in Silverthorne, CO has one or 2 RS, he got one of the first ones. <edit>On the RS page, #82 is Dan's and #93 is mine, both Carbon. Both 2012 models. (Message edited by zac4mac on July 27, 2016) |

I'm newer to the EBR bikes, so sorry if this sounds silly, but who is Henry? I'd love to look him up and see more pics of that orange RS. |

This is Henry, the one on the right in case you were unsure.
You might recognize the one on the left, reigning (at the time) NHRA Pro Stock Champ, Erica Enders-Stevens. A couple more of his Abraxas Inferno RS, one of eleven (I think) Buells in his stable.
Henry and I both live up in the mountains of Colorado. Jeff |

Thanks so much Jeff! I've got a 1190RX and 1190SX now, and am hoping to add a 1190RS to the stable in the spring/summer. In the meantime, I'm researching the RS color combos, as I would ideally like to find one with a little more color than the all black bikes. Is his the only Abraxas Inferno RS? I think Rob's is the only white RS (I know it has a fancier name, but I forget it at the moment). Other than those two, I know LAP has/had a red/white one used in a video they produced, and of course the carbon/red bikes.

To the best of my knowledge, two orange one, one white were made (anon, correct me if wrong). But... the guy who painted them is still available, and painted the other custom RX's. So, with some resourcefulness can probably find one and make it however you want it by the original painter. EBR may even have some of the fiberglass bodywork around. |

The number of Abraxas Inferno RSs made seems to be in constant flux, depending on who you ask, even if it's someone "who knows". By the way, Henry's RS is #33. |
