First post! I thought one of the bulbs in the tach was out so i went to change it and there was no bulb in the socket. I put one in. About a month ago went on a ride tach started smoking! I killed the bike right away. Turns out there was a bulb lost in it and shorted out the tach board. The three tach wires were melted together(o,bk,p). After looking the bike over for the last month i have to replace the ecm. Money is tight so i want to make sure i get the right ecm. |

Are you sure the ecm is lost!? Check the fuses and circuit breaker , maybe try with the instruments disconnected. |

You need to check your Voltage Regulator and stator for proper operation. |

I misread your post. Bulb bouncing around loose shorted tach board. You took bike to someone and had it tested and they found a bad ECM, right? |

If it turns out to need the ecm, I have both a stock and a race ecm. Answered your post in parts wanted. SteveH |
