My 06 has always done the hit button, pause, bike turns over as it moves those big pistons. Now I get the pause and clicking like the battery is low, (it's not) then it turns over, I check the bolts on the battery one was a a little losse, tighten made no differance, and the grounds they all seem okay. So it's like the starter is not getting enough juice then does. Strange, |

Check the voltage across the battery terminals during cranking. It should not drop below 10V. Easy to check the ground path is do a voltage drop test on the negative cable, while cranking the engine. |

I check the bolts on the battery one was a a little losse, tighten made no differance The battery may not be fully charged since you had a loose connection. First check the charge on the battery, then proceed to other checks. |

How old is your battery? You could have it load tested. It might be time for a new battery. |

Battery is 3 years old. Put it on the tender last night crank over fine this morning going onto work. Could be my short commute of 12 miles. I'll do the other checks. Thanks. |

After reading around the site a bad relay came up sounding like the issue I am having so I swapped in the AUX for the starter relay and it's back to normal! and the is with the bike sitting for 2 weeks, the normal lag then started right up. |
