Where are people installing the pigtail to connect to a battery tender so that the seat doesn't have to be removed, yet it's concealed enough? |

I have mine under the passenger seat but it can be a pain sometimes to get it out of there..

I like the idea better than under the rider's seat, but was hoping for a spot I don't have to take either seat off. My XB had an air deflector that i could hide the pigtail behind. Alas, I can't have it all.

I tie-wrapped mine to the shock reservoir. |

Nice idea. To the bottom of it? Pics? |

Details on how & where the Shorai cord is strapped.
How it hides on normal view.

looks like the perfect spot, thanks for the pics. Any reason a battery tender won't do a fine job of keeping this battery charged, or should I invest in the Shorai charging system? |

That is a good location there on the shock reservoir, might relocate mine. I like the Shorai charger because I can hook it up, press store and in 30 seconds the cells are equalized and topped off. I do this because I am away for work for weeks at a time. |

I believe the Shorai can balance/equalize the charge potential of each group of cells which is something that a normal batt tender that connects to the + and - posts cannot do. In this respect a batt tender is still OK but the Shorai is the better option IMHO. |

Shoari cheaped out and doesn't have a built in balancing circuitry. Shoari says you can use a normal battery tender, it won't help extend your battery life by performing proper maintenance on it like the expensive Shorai charger does. I have mine mounted the same way Terry has his |

EBR recommends the Shorai charger. |

I use a Shorai charger every two weeks of almost daily driving. Didn't help a bad...overcharging regulator though..! Result, a Shorai 12 volt battery putting out 6.1 volts. Mike |

Got mine mounted under the shock reservoir the other day and it works great. Added a dab of silicone for added security as the zip tie alone didn't look like it would hold up against long term vibrations. |
