Alrighty, I am looking to upgrade the exhaust on the blast but the stock exhaust is way too thin for any of my friend to really weld to. So I'm looking for the front portion of the exhaust that I could use to modify to pull it out the side kind of like a new styled R6.
Thoughts on what to use in order to start the fabrication of the exhaust? I have been reading that you can use a sportster exhaust but I want to have confirmation that if I grab a front sportster exhaust it will be able to bolt up like the stock one does, or can I just pick up any exhaust and just bend it out the way I want? I've never owned a motorcycle until now, just looking for guidance on what I might be able to use in order to achieve the look. Thanks to everyone on here for the awesome support in advance. |

Evo sportster or big twin exhausts will fit if you are going to modify it. IE: it will bolt up to the head. Remember, the engine is rubber mounted, so you can only solid mount it to the engine. Any frame mount must be rubber mounted or you WILL crack the exhaust in a short amount of time (unless you use a flex connector between the engine and frame mounts). The tail end of the exhaust will wave around quite a bit.
The muffler is hidden behind the number plate. |
