It was a Panigale 1199 S. I believe they have ABS, traction, and wheelie control, along with Ohlins suspension.
And yes, close to 200 hp.
He was way up on power, but I was initially riding better lines.
The last lap though, I actually could've ran much faster, but I was actually falling into his patterns. Lap 5 was a 2:03.3. I think honestly I could run a 1:59.x
The chicane , the wiggle, and the short horseshoe/barrel section I ran really slow thanks to that.
It was my 1st trip to Daytona, my 2nd trip on that bike, and my 3rd track event ever. That bike could run 1:54's with the right rider.
I can't buy your bike but I did ride Daytona with many modifications to my 1125R.I could spank just about any bike in my group in the infield but on the straights all I could do was bounce off the rev limiter while this guy on a BMW blew past me.He even told me in the pitts,You have your way with me in the infield."I replied,"But you put a stop to that shit when we hit the banking."Daytona is something else.
Having chain drive is a must. I was running a 17/42 out there on a 190/55 rear tire.
I can't wait to take her out again. I changed the oil and checked the screen, things are looking good.
I just installed sbs pads, and flushed the front fluid with Amsoil dot4. The engine oil was changed with Dominator 15-50.
I'm definitely looking for vintage/lightweight/grom for next year. Either that, or I'll sell the RX. Penny is fun enough to hold me over until EBR puts out a bike with ABS in 18.
I wrecked last weekend on her, sustaining light fairing damage and a bent bolt on the spool.
I patched the fairing, replaced the bolt. The patch is woven, and overlaps past the cracks, and replaces some gloop that was there for a previous repair.
I also: Changed oil with Amsoil Dominator K&/N Filter Changed coolant out with fresh engine ice Flushed front and rear brakes with Amsoil Dot4.
She's 100% ready to go.
4300 , and I'll use the money to finish the 1190 and race it's butt off.
She ran flawlessly at Daytona, although I was fighting my own demons off from wrecking. Friday, I finished 7th in the Heavyweight Supersport class.
Sunday, I finally did it: Won my first race! Supertwins class, finished 4th overall- beating 3 experts to the finish line.
Price is still 4300, though its looking a lot like I am going to have to sell the 1190 to fund the race program for the rest of the year, making this my only ride.
