Pulsing front brake rotors on the XB has been a common problem. It feels like a warped rotor, but it has been linked to deposits in the metal from pads as well. The EBR 6mm rotor kit was a proven fix, and that kit included hardware. The 6mm rotor itself doesn't appear to be available anymore, but the mounting kit is still listed for sale on the EBR site. http://www.erikbuellracing.com/store/models/xb12/f ront-brake-rotor-mounting-kit.html Even without a different rotor, that kit helps quite a bit by mounting the rotor such that it works better under more conditions, and by transferring heat to the wheel better. At this moment it is listed as being on backorder, so if anyone tries to order one, let us know if you have any new information on availability date. |
