It's mounted to a small clip, mine was just sitting behind the airbox back in 2008 though.. It's the barometric sensor I think. | ||

Does it belong in a bore or port? It has an o-ring like it should seal up against something. | ||

No, it should be open. It's plugged into the harness, but that's it. I think the clip is on the back of the inner airbox. | ||

searched for the manuf and part number written on the side. it's a MAP sensor. | ||

Yep it clips onto the rear of the lower airbox. No hose attached, but as it is a common automotive part there are likely cars that use the same sensor with some kind of hose. | ||

That sensor sat loose on my bike as well. I looked and could not find where it plugged into the air intake. How does a manifold absolute pressure sensor read manifold pressure without being hooked to the manifold? My bike ran fine, and I could not find a leak, so I just assumed it was supposed to be open to atmosphere in the Buell application. | ||

There are 2 of these on an 1125. One is MAP the other (this one) is ambient baro. This is the one that corrects when you go from Colorado to Texas to get the AFR right. Z |
