2009 xb12ss, feel a pulsing sensation when let off the gas. Pulled in the clutch to see if drive train related, no. Feels almost like going over washboard road only when letting off gas. Appears possible front isolator? Bike has about 37k on it. Easy to repair? Anything else to suspect? Thanks, Chuck |

That front isolator replacement is pretty easy. It is reasonable that one would be done by 37k miles. |

Should be easy to see, too. The rubber should not show any cracks and there should be a decent amount of space between the large head of the bolt and the engine bracket. There should be plenty of images here somewhere, I just can't find one at the moment. |

Thanks, Sorry I haven't been on. I ordered a mount from a dealer in Pa. Bike does have more wear items at 35k + miles than my tubers or Harley FXD. |

BTW, I have never got more than 35,000 miles out of my X1 front isolator. On the other hand, my 2008 uly'x isolator is still in there at 55,000 or so. It's outlasted the muffler, primary case, and voltage regulator. I'm just saying this to reinforce that stuff breaks at random. Sometimes there really isn't a pattern or an obvious cause. |
