I was out riding headed back home when the SX starts missing back firing etc. like a Mo Fo! I got home and it just started running like major crap, I shut it off, and checked the current fault: P131 Front O2 System Fault. I have the service manual and can get the EBR part number, however my question is does anyone know if the sensor is something Bosch or someone makes for cars. If so a part number, as I'm sure the cost from auto parts store will be cheaper than EBR store with shipping etc.. Gotta get back and ride while I can! Thanks in advance. | ||

Can you see any numbers on the sensor? I have been told that the Denso o2 sensors are more reliable then Bosch. I have just replaced mine with Denso, on my 1125r. | ||

I haven't had time to work on it yet, I hope to get it removed this week end. | ||

Dual - I had the same fault about 10,000 miles ago. I unplugged the front sensor plug, plugged it back in...have not had a problem since (10,000 miles ago !). Can't hurt to give it a try. Mike | ||

Good idea! I'll give it a shot. Been looking on line at 4 wire O2 sensors, found a few for $46.00, half of what the EBR web site i, just saying. | ||

Mike, since I haven't yet climbed into where the sensor is connected, where to start? I know my 1125R sensor is at the cooling fan , is the EBR the same or not? Thxs in advance. Tim | ||

Okay, I tried the disconnect / reconnect, it still does the same thing. I pulled the O2 sensor and I think I found the best potential replacement. It appears to be a Bosch #0258006956(numbers off the stock O2 sensor), but the Bosch web site states no match. They list a Universal O2 sensor that looks identical to the sensor I removed from the SX. It interconnects in between the "old" connector and the new O2 sensor, pretty ingenious connection. If I can find a local source for it I will report back on complete part number, cost, etc.. | ||

Replaced front O2 sensor, started it up and still find like crap. New fault now says it's the rear O2 sensor, can't catch a break on this SOB! Looking for where the rear sensor is connected it looks I've gotta take the throttle body off to get between the two cylinder heads to separate the connector. Anybody have a better way to get to rear sensor? I'm so tired of working on this pos, ready to trade it in for something I have dealership support and easy access to parts, Honda CB1000 R 2016, looks better every time I gotta wrench on this instead of ride, just freakin' saying. Any help is appreciated. | ||

It may be that the rear sensor faulted due to the front cylinder missing when that sensor went bad. To get to the rear header the service videos do say the throttle bodies and tub need to be removed first, then they go into the steps of lifting the frame off the engine, but that is for removing the rear header. Hopefully you can get at the sensor from the inside so you don't have to go through all that extra work. | ||
