Yes I set my trip the last time I filled up and my low fuel light came on after only 70 miles. I've never really been one to keep track of fuel milage on any of my vehicles but I thought some of you guys had stated getting alot more than that off a tank. Some of you may have read one of my recent posts about my low fuel trip reseting itself after 2.2 miles. I'm kind of thinking there is a glitch with my fuel sensor. Aren't most XB9's gettin around 150 miles on a full tank? I haven't filled up yet to be able to tell exactly how much IS still in the frame. |

The least I've gotten on a "tank" of gas before the light was about 110 miles, and the most was 145. The one time I ran out of gas 3.4 gallons topped off the tank. This is on an XB12r... |

My 9r is pretty consistent with the low fuel light coming on between 100 and 110 miles. I have ran to about 140 without running out. |

Yesterday I got 70 miles out of the first half of the tank, but only 22 miles out of the 2nd half of the tank. The 70 miles was mostly highway. The 22 miles was in a parking lot (Battletrax) |

My 9S consistently over 115-120 miles before the warning light even flickers. Me thinks something is not right... |

I can go 135 miles on my xb9s before the light comes on. Last time I did the math I was getting 54 mpg (& and I am heavy on the throttle). |

What's the most mileage anyone dared to go AFTER the light came on? If I recall its 0.7 gallons in the reserve. I was on some back roads in Maryland on the way to a chopper build off last weekend and was beginning to sweat when I got over 30 miles on the trip meter. |

On my XB12R the low fuel light comes on 95-100 everytime, just normal riding. I tried to strech it once and ran out of gas at 125 miles. |

I pulled 190 out of a tank on the way home from the Northeast Tour, but I was on fumes, and I mean FUMES. Usually my light comes on at about 110-120 miles and I go 140-150 before I start getting nervous. My bike has always gotten at least 47 mpg, usually around 50, no matter how hard I wring it out. |

Low fuel light comes on consistently at around 130 to 135 mi. on my XB9. The most miles I have ridden after the low fuel light came on is 35. I don't remember exactly, but I think it took about 3.3 or 3.4 gal. to fill up. I have not ridden till the frame emptied so I figure I could go a couple more miles past 35 in an emergency. Mike |

The ONE TIME I ran out of gas, I nursed my 12R 41 miles after the light came on. It was my first ride, checked later and found the dealer had under-inflated the tires by 12psi front and 8psi rear, so with proper inflation I think I could go maybe 45 miles after the light. Although I hope I never have to...By the way, after it died of thirst it coasted into the long-awaited gas station I'd been looking for. I love that bike!! |

On a different thread a survey of owners indicated that most of the XBs still had about a gallon of fuel left instead of 7/10s when the light came on. My 12R is this way. |

I just see petrol as a necessary evil, and I tend not to worry about fuel consumption as i'm normally having to much fun. I average about 95-100mls per frame full, untill the reserve light come on,I never run my 9s for to long on reserve as I don't trust it's accuracy! their always seems to be more in reserve than the handbook indicates, but I never run my bike for to long on reserve to find out. |
