I'm looking for a belt tensioner or some way to tension a chain on an xb12x. |

Modified stock bracket, with the ebr idler and spacer. The latter two are available from ebr Hope this helps |

G0600.07AH Idler sprocket. May or may not be 520. I'll check when I get home. G0606.07AH Idler Sprocket spacer. Here's the homemade way of turning the stock idler bracket into a tensioner:

The best solution I have found for streetbikes is the Buell stock belt drive system. What are you trying to accomplish by going to a chain? On the Uly, I did have to drill out the mounting holes for the stock tensioner slightly to let it shift a little and take a little load off the belt. Otherwise I could feel it binding up under very heavy loads on big bumps, which is really bad for the 5th gear drive assembly bearings. |
