Lighter, smaller and yes they work with the stock set up. Mine is fine and has been reliable but you do need to maintain it don't let it sit for a week with out riding or charging it. Earth X seems to have good customer service and got me setup with what I needed. My issue every regular battery for atv, or motorcycle is dead in a year and I take care of them so far I have used this for 2 and it is still going |

The Lithium batteries require a compatible charger. Most will need a new charger. Just be sure to check your charger before connecting or it will fry the battery. |

The EarthX lithium battery is interesting. They incorporate full battery management to balance cells and protect against overcharging, etc. . In the EarthX "battery charging" section of the web page they explain that some modern lead-acid chargers will work just fine and they explain the details. http://earthxbatteries.com/our-batteries/battery-c harging Still a lot of $$ for a battery. |
