I found this on Touratech http://www.touratech-usa.com/Store/PN-050-0912/Zeg a-Pro-Quick-Release-2L-Oil-or-Fuel-Bottle-Holder-w -strap-protectors It holds a 2 liter container that they also sell. Thinking about attaching this bracket to the back of my Hepco-Becker bag to carry a little extra fuel. I saw a pic on Facebook of a Uly with the square top opening panniers with some kind of container mounted on the back. Assume they were for extra fuel. So is anyone on here carrying a little extra fuel? How do you mount it? Where did you find it? Barry Hollister, CA |

Touratech sells a growler holder for your bike. Life really is pretty good, aint it? |

MSR fuel bottle, 1L, in a tractor manual holder tube ("operators manual tube"). Google will pull it up, there's plenty of folks here doing it. 1L may not sound like much, but it's 12 miles you don't have to push. It's small and easy to carry and refill.
tube with the red sticker, fuel. Tube with blue sticker, first aid kit. |

Ratbuell, how did you attach the bottles to the cases? |

I attached mine up inside the bag mounts using cable ties. Its tight to get the covers off, but it can be done, and if you really need access you just cut the cable ties and remove the operator tubes (more cable ties are in tubes for putting back on). For fuel, I really liked the Rotopax container I saw on Jim Atteby's Super Ten. I remember thinking how nicely it would attach to the Uly triple tail. |

I also got a 1L fuel bottle, but I strapped it to the v-brace where the California emissions canister would be with 3 hose clamps sleeved with 3/8" poly tubing to keep it from scratching anything |

The tubes have a foot at each end with a mounting bolt hole. Bolt, washer, nylock, right to the bottom of the bag. |

I bought a 1.75L bottle off amazon and bought a length of 4" pvc and cap from home depot. Drilled a bunch of holes in it, painted it and bolted it to my bag. Gets me 25 miles If you zoom in you can see it in this pic http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v716/mikeftbl52/ Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20160327_131249_zps0ki1effu.j pg |

Used small muffler type clamps. Empty MSR bottle into tank about every 6 weeks and refill. Sorry about the dirty bike - motorbike

Or for not much more you can buy these http://www.kru82.com/ at your local liquor store. Of course, you would have to find some way to dispose of the vodka.... |

Correction; looks like it's about the same money. There is that pesky vodka problem, however. |

You know I was thinking, you seem like a good dude Barry. For a good dude like yourself, I would be willing to get 2 of those KRU82 shiny stainless steel msr type bottles, complete with retaining strap and complimentary carabiner on their way to you as soon as the funds clear. They would be cleaned and ready for filling with fuel. How does say $20 each sound to you? I will cover the shipping if you are in the conus. Those amazon bottles are crappy painted steel, no strap and no carabiner. Then there is the shipping charges... |

I hate vodka, but that's a cool source for those containers. I guess I could use it as parts cleaner or something... |

I have 2 Rotopax one gallon plastic fuel containers I will be using. I am only going for an over nighters trip so I am just going to fit them in one of the saddlebags. I will probably mount it to the backrest in the near future. |

>>>I guess I could use it as parts cleaner or something... Close . . . but your technical mind has failed you. Try this . . .
- Invite a friend . . .
- Load them up with the Vodka . . .
- Do the Tom Sawyer trick . . .
- Have them spend the day cleaning your parts. . . .

This thread has gone out of control... @panhead_dan...good idea on the bottles, I've got one or two of those around (but they don't have kru82 on them.) Thanks for the offer, but I think I'll try to apply the $20 at my local BevMo store. Barry Hollister, CA |

My MSR is either stainless, or aluminum...not steel. Too light. Which reminds me, I need to get more. I'm tired of bouncing the bottle back and forth from Uly to S2 depending on what I'm riding...lazy, incarnate! |
