OK, first my neutral light stops working after it get hot, 20-30 min of running but now I noticed at stops my rpm's go up about 1000 but only at stops. Everything works fine after it cools down. |

You have an '08 or later? There are two 'idle' speeds. One is a true idle, sitting motionless, either in neutral or with the clutch disengaged. The second is a closed-throttle speed, it is higher as you've noted, and is maintained all the rest of the time. With your neutral light not working (switch or connection problem) the ECU thinks that you are still moving and maintains the higher rpm. I'd guess that when you squeeze the clutch lever in, the idle speed drops to normal. |

Mark, I believe you are correct. I will look at my neutral safety switch this week end. |
