So my 18 yr old bought a 1982 GS 650 GL New tires new wheel bearings new brakes new fork seals lots of tune up work came from a good friend so I know the bike. Plan is simple redo the Dash paint the tank and metal work redo the seat. He has clubmans and rear sets for it also. Some barend signals and such. Give her to a diffrent friend to fine tune the carbs and done.

Very nice I have a wiring issue to fix not a huge deal but I am cleaning up the ness in the headlight for what ever reason this was the junction box in these older bikes! Most of it just needs eleminated or shortened up. Guy that had it before my friend wrapped the harness in electrical tape ahhhhhhhh! |

fairly similar to the beater i picked up a few weeks ago to mess around with... 79 xs750 So far converted the vacuum petcocks to manual with some drilling of new passage ways etc(the vacuum setup is very prone to leaking through the carbs into the crankcase) got air pods, replaced the shot 12" shocks with some 13.5" we had laying around(after some modification...) since the front mastercylinder is only on there for show(no plunger in it) i should have a new mastercylinder and clutch perch showing up today

Nice Did some of the same. Converted petcock, master from a 2005 ninja, new speedo, rewired everything no more junction box in the headlight bucket. Runs and drives shop is going to tune and jet it correctly then she should rip. PO put pods and the 4 into one on and never rejetted!! Not bad for the kids first bike
