Thanks Ed. The S1, in my opinion, is the coolest looking Buell ever built. I've always wanted one so I picked this one up last year. It compliments my S3T nicely. I think that no matter how much I try to like the look of the cf, it just looks better in stock trim. My wife even mentioned to me that it looked better the old way. Oh well time to sell off what I have. |

If you want CF, get an uncut rear hugger with the plate mount still on it. They also make the small heat shields that go under the seat/tank/tail junction. And of course there's the race hamcan intake... But my votes for stock as well. Either that or get the tank and tail wrapped in CF. But the silver rocks. |

Hey Joe that's Mike the photographer's old bike. I bought it right after WVBR last year. I was talking with him at the fire one night, mentioned how I've always wanted one and that an S1 would probably be my next bike. A little more talking and a deal was made. She was mine about 6 weeks later. Super clean bike. |

Added a smoked taillight with led to my x1. Also internally added led plate light to the set up. Up next more led, carbon tank trim and I think braided oil lines... |

Todays rainy day activity. Bar Keeper's Friend, Scotchbright pads, and a lot of elbow grease. Now I guess I need to something about the rusty stock shock. I have a full D&D system I would trade for a penske or works...

Just spent the weekend riding the S3 to Marietta from Columbus and back. I was teaching a Basic Rider Course and thought it would make a good shake down run. The bike has less than 3000 miles on it and its 16 years old. Happy to say it had no major problems. However, it does need to warm up. It would cough and sputter a little if I didn't let it get up to temperature. |

On a hot day that rear head is going to be suffering, on the edge of detonation....or maybe past the edge. A few miles to the gallon isn't worth it. |

How do you richen the mixture? I have only had this bike for a few months and don't know the ins and outs yet. The last thing I want to do is cook the bike..... or my right leg. |

Gonna need someone (froggy?) good with ecmspy, or find an old accessory "race" ecm. I'll dig through old accessory catalogs and see if I can find you a part number for one of the ecm's. |

Got 240 miles on the fresh engine in S2, starting to free up nicely now. Running ported S1 heads, 536 cams,Wiseco S1 pistons,Cool shots piston oilers,Vance and Hines SS2R, 29 tooth pulley, combination seems to be good with a lot of torque down low, pulls real good from as low as 2200 rpm |

Cleaned up the S3T to ride and found oil dripping out of the vent tube onto my back tire... Have to spend some time this weekend to track it down before riding anymore. I have been riding off and on since I got a new job in March and thought I felt some slippage riding home last week. Not a Buell, but made some progress on tearing down the Sporty to repaint everything. Caging it for the near future... |
