I need to replace my front sprocket and chain. does anyone now how many links are on the stock chain for the SX? Any recommendation on good source for either? I've gone through 3rd rear sprocket (Vortex #821-41)in less than 7K miles. So I put new tires on and new rear sprocket and checked the chain and sprocket and sure enough time to replace both! Problem is.. I'm leaving on vacation for a week in West Virginia etc. for some riding in the twisties! Gotta have front sprocket # G1443.1B6 I'm hoping EBR has it tomorrow to ship UPS Blue. But I don't have spec's on length of the stock 520 chain. Thanks in advance. |

Stock chain is 116 links. Have you contacted EBR directly for the FT sprocket? Would think getting it from the direct is your best bet at this point. |

Thxs Snacktoast! I will be calling EBR as soon as they open this morning on the front sprocket. Does anyone have specs on the chain, all I know is that it's a 520 with 116 links. Not being familiar with chains, I looked on the EBR web site and they want $200 + for the chain/link/pin. I looked on Amazon and there are so many brands etc. I don't want or have time to do a return on a chain if I buy incorrectly! |

I called Dan at NRHS Performance after hours yesterday to see if he has one of the front sprockets in stock to purchase. He has been offering a discount to BW'rs hopefully something will pan out quick. I don't mind supporting EBR but I've also got a budget to work within! LOL There are not many "cheap" parts associated with a EBR these days compared to the rice burners. just sayin' |

BTW- I noticed that some 1190 owners had posted on Facebook in the last couple of days about how to delete the cush drive and use a plain front sprocket. I believe it requires a couple of spacers to be machined to accommodate an off-the-shelf front sprocket. Erik himself jumped in on the thread and strongly recommended that you do NOT do this for a street bike as it will likely lead to problems. |

There's NO need to remove the cush drive...other than to say you did... and feel cool about it. It gains zero horse power, or anything else positive. Mike |
