This has been done to death, but having used the search I'm still unsure. .040 is pretty much the recommendation, but these iridium plugs that I bought as a book replacement for the Buell pro plugs have a thinner wire style post... out of the box they are .025 On this type of plug, should I still gap it out to the .040 ?

I think the gap should be the same but at the same time, I'm pretty sure that you can't adjust the Iridium plugs without messing them up. I would suggest just putting them in and trying them. The worst thing that could happen is it runs worse, right? |

My Iridum plugs came with instructions saying don't adjust the gap on them. So I didn't...seem to work. |
