Red, Do you have any of the old style left? I replaced my front iso a few years ago with the original type. Also, is the difference between old and new the hole size for the front bolt? | ||

Yes I have a few of the old styles left. The bolt size is different, the top of the mount is different. It uses the "D" washer on the top of the isolator. | ||

Stenzel Bar is very noticeable improvement!! as i ride my M2 all year round have a good feel of the bike. was riding every day changed to stenzil with new style motor mount but machined out to take old style bolt as, i know what weight that bolt has to support the whole motor & gear box hangs from that one bolt so i can't see how a smaller bolt is an improvement but with the stenzil fitted it takes stress off the rubber just it does not add strength to that one bolt that the motor hangs from. my advice is resize the late mounts hole. But stencil bar improves steering & handling !! | ||

The Stenzels should be to my door by the end of next week. Still waiting on the rear spacers to be cut. Should be any time now. Then the packaging frenzy will start to get them out to you guys. | ||

I can see from the diagram the difference in the old and new mounts, how does it change the design of the bar? | ||

The top of the new style mount is flat and doesn't use the "D" washer on top. The old style uses a 1/2" bolt and the new style uses a 7/16" bolt. We have to counter bore the brace to match the "D" washers counter bore since it gets discarded. Hope that makes sense? | ||

Makes perfect sense. Thanks Red, got mine installed today, looks great. Didn't get a chance to ride before work, but with the bar and new front mount def less vibration at idle. | ||

Oopezoo that's for the old style isolator which I have 5 or 6 of those left and probably wont ever do any more of those. Seems everyone has converted to the new Iso. I should have the braces/bars here today. Talked to the machinist that does the spacer under the rear of the bar. He says he is still a week out. That's the problem with the little projects like this is we have to wait in line and let them do their bread and butter stuff. | ||

Oh yeah.... I completely understand the "wait in line" part of this stuff!! We're lucky to find a machinist who will take the time to stop main product runs for large scale customers to tool up for limited run stuff that barely pays the bills.... Thanks for putting this together again! | ||

Any of the new style? I suppose if I'm rebuilding it anyway I could probably add one... And since the original one had a year in out when I took it out, I figure the mount I order will show up a the new style... |
