Its a plug and play mod. I bought one for my DR650. When I picked up the S3 I knew I needed more light up front https://procycle.us/bikepages/dr650.html#electrical

That thing does high and low beams? How does it focus compared to the old-fashioned hot wire? |

It does have a high and low beam. Compared to the standard H4... it doesn't compare I only went on one or two night rides before I replaced the bulb with the LED. The LED is amazing and I'm sure the on coming traffic is happy once I have gotten out of their line of sight |

Is it basically a drop-in upgrade? The stock headlight has always seemed pretty dim. |

My S2 has a Jeep headlight that is not a sealed beam. I might upgrade the bulb to LED in the near future. My S3T was upgraded a few years ago. A HUGE difference! |

I ran the M3H. It does not have that extra connector but it is very similar. 2500 lm. Did not modify the bucket but the ring did not seat flush. The lower part of the ring was about 1/4" sticking out. It threw serious light so I kept it on. I could ride with my darkest visor on. I'm currently trying out a new bulb that's more compact. The cool thing about the M3H is it sounds like a jet engine when it's on. Can't hear it when the bikes running but at start up it's kinda cool. |
