What replacement pads does everyone use? I'm on the original with 23,000 miles and want to replace them all around. Debating between EBC or these http://www.amazon.com/2008-2010-Buell-1125R-Kevlar -Carbon/dp/B00CQBYB2O http://americansportbike.com/newdir/Item/9261 Can't beat the price of the Amazon ones but never heard of them before. |

The amazon link is probably some generic chinese import I won't try these, I stick to name brands. EBC has done well by me, as has Galfer. YMMV |

The EPFA454 is a race oriented pad, the FA454/4HH is for street riding. Both are sintered pads. You can save about $20 by going with the latter. Thinking about putting some on my EBR. I'm sure the stockers are some kind of composite organic pad. (Message edited by terrys1980 on March 14, 2016) |

Dunlopad HH+ compound, bar none. I've used EBC HH+ and Galfer's 1370 compound, and the DPs are better all-around. They have better initial bite cold or hot, better stopping power, no dust to speak of, and are quiet. The only pad compound I like as much (if not maybe a tiny bit more) than the DP HH+ is the Vesrah SRJL-17, which is not available for the 1125s. (Other Vesrah compounds are inferior to the SRJL-17, at least for aggressive street use.) The part number for the Dunlopad HH+ is SDP993. You should be able to find them on Amazon or Ebay. http://www.amazon.com/DP-Brakes-Brake-SDP993HH-Bue ll/dp/B001P4E6QE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1457984917 &sr=8-1&keywords=sdp993 |

I had ebc hh extreme pads disintegrate when the pad material came off the backing plate on the track. These were new pads, broken in correctly with a new rotor. 10th lap in after a half mile straight away and absolutely no brakes. At the track EBC stands for: Every Body Crashes |

not sure which ebc but better than stock. My stock ones only lasted 10k. I don't ride track but do get my back wheel off the ground from time to time. |

Do not go for EBC FA454HH Go for EBC EPFA454HH .... works OK when cold , and they are VERY powerfull when the pace gets fast ..... I had serious brakefade issues with the ZTL on the XB12R , and the EBC EPFA solved it ..... ever since only EBC EPFA for me , including to my 1125R .... after I switched from OEM to EBC EPFA on the 1125R , the increase in braking power was significant..... I have also installed a brake scoop kit from the 1190RX to keep things cooler....

I'm going to try the sixity sintered front brake pads. I'm going to do only street riding. Vagelis, what hardware did you use with the rx cooling scoops. Lap, said the rx hardware will not work. |
