The problems is several things, first let me say I own a red 2009 1125CR bought it with 5,000 miles last summer for 2k (guy got a dui and needed cash). IMHO these bikes are way undervalued for what you get. But, with that being said. In the last year I have become pretty familiar with these bikes and have even considered buying another one because I like them so much. (Problem #1) Blue book value for these bikes is $5,445 for excellent condition. Your original asking price for the bike was unrealistic ( as I said I believe the bikes are undervalued, but the market is what it is regardless.) I think that was what Figor was trying to express to you ( I am pretty sure he was asking 4K ish and including a EBR oiling rotor a $400 extra with less miles as he stated.) Problem #2 As you are familiar with these bikes and have stated that the charging system is charging properly. You know they have a known issue with the charging system that causes the stator to burn out. The only permanent solution is to replace the rotor with an EBR oiling rotor( they were available recently from LAP for about $370 plus shipping, but I believe that shipped has sailed and now they can only be obtained from EBR for $500+ if at all) So anyone buying your bike would have to be willing to spend the money for the new rotor and depending on their mechanical skill set might have to spend around another $1,000 if they can't install it themselves. There was a 1125CR in WI with 7k had the upgraded rotor for $4,500 obo that has been selling on Craigslist for over a year. In my opinion the current selling price is about $4,000- 4,500 (they are undervalued) but even at that price they are not moving. So good luck I sincerely hope you get a fair price for your bike, I think they are great bikes. But unfortunately the market is very small and limited to a few salty buell guys. Probably not what you wanted to hear. But am really just trying to help (Message edited by Zhen13 on May 17, 2016) (Message edited by Zhen13 on May 17, 2016) (Message edited by Zhen13 on May 17, 2016) |

yeah ive noticed that zhen, its unfortunate very nice bike but the community is just terrible and its not the easiest thing to sell. at 5400 even its cheap for what you get, and mine does have the upgraded charging there is a picture showing its constantly 13.9-14.2 so its set to go has all the extras and just needs a new rider. I have someone interested coming to take a look at a few days and hes agreed to just a couple hundred dollars less than my asking price so I'm hoping that will work out. anyway thanks for your reasonable comment. makes me wish I bought a Japanese bike when I got this instead, seems like it will only sell when the right buell collector comes around as there is not that many people who prefer them over jap sport bikes when they are in the market. but its nice to know for someone that wants it that it is in absolutely like new condition with only 3500 miles all the ebr extras including the ebr stator rotor and oiling fin are already on it, it has everything and needs nothing so even at 5400 I still feel like I'm getting robbed, but I would be satisfied with that number or something as close as possible to that number to sell it |

Believe it or not the guys on this board are some of the most helpful and resourceful I have ever met. But I think the bikes being so undervalued has caused a lot of aggravation to owners as you are experiencing at the moment. |

It's sometimes painful to realize that the emotional value we place on our stuff is not reflected in their monetary value. In my experience, motorcycles are always an "expense" not an "investment". I know that there are some people who make a living selling motorcycles, but they don't buy with their hearts. Sorry to hear that you can't get what you want for your bike. It really is beautiful and you obviously put a lot of pride (and money) in to it. |

no its staying at 5 I have someone coming today and another person coming tomorrow it will sell in one of the next two days. you missed your chance because your a tire kicker and to cheap to hand over an extra 500$ for a motorcycle that is more than worth it, I even emailed you before I made the public price 5,000 known if you were interested to which you never responded. foolish paul. enjoy your cyclone because this 1125cr will not be yours |

Great way to sell a bike, publicly insulting people who are interested? Your listing says "OBO", and has been posted for over a month. Then you keep listing price drops. If Paul called, made an offer, and you invited him to come see the bike, seems like you're not honoring your word. And now you're publicly insulting him? Not the kind of ad we want to see here. Please resolve this asap. |

Seems like all used bikes are de-valued. I've been trying to sell my s1k for 2 years. Its a 2013 with 13,000 miles. Its got everything. I paid near 18,000 for it highest offer has been 9,000. Ridiculous so ill keep it and the 1125 and the Aprilia...lol. Who knows the 1125cr might be worth a fortune in 10 years. (Message edited by figorvonbuellingham on May 27, 2016) |

he did come see the bike and wanted to pay 4500 for it which is not happeneing and didn't even want to talk about it, started it up touched it and left. if that's not a tire kicker I don't know what is. now I have three interested serious buyers and I'm confident it will sell tomorrow, and it doesn't say OBO anywhere in the add anymore. I cant wait to sell this bike and get out of this horrid buell community that's given me nothing but trouble since ive started trying to sell it over a month ago. 5 grand is a steal and you all know it. one person coming tomorrow morning if for whatever reason that doesn't work out another person from Michigan on Monday who is working this weekend and if that doesn't work out another local buyer who already got approval to pick up money from their bank on Tuesday to come pick up the bike. seems 5 grand is the magic number it will go at. "it doesn't say OBO anywhere in the add anymore." It's in the title. $5,000 for a bike manufactured eight years ago that has very limited dealer support and that is afflicted with a defective charging system is no "steal." |

So here's my two cents. 1125s seem stuck at $4000 to $4500; if you're not in a rush to buy one, you WILL eventually find one in that price range. I looked at several, offered what I felt was reasonable, and walked away when my offer wasn't accepted. It took a while, but I now have a 2009 1125CR with under 5,000 miles, one owner, completely stock, purchased for $4200. Chicago can ask whatever he wants, it's his bike, but he shows bad form berating the Buell community because the going rate is less than he thinks is acceptable. And as an aside, why would he think the Buell community is here just waiting to buy HIS bike; most of the people here already own a Buell and are looking for insight, assistance, and like-minded owners. |
