After getting absolutely smoked on an ebay bid for a set of Banke shifters ($315 closing bid), I've decided to take matters into my own hands. I've reached out to a local fabricating shop to make a limited run of parts. I'm thinking I would start with shifters for M2, S2 and S3. The brake pedals would fit the M2 and S3 models (maybe S2 but that would be a little more complicated). So the question I posing...what would you be willing to pay for these parts? And who would be interested in purchasing? This would be helpful in getting an estimate on the feasibility. Thanks!!! Dennis |

I'd do a set for my M2 ,your going to have a group buy . So that will determine the price per peace. Perhaps you should ask the shop how much they will charge for 10 or 5 and go from there. |

Depending on price yes. Would you be able to buy one or the other individually ? I have an S2. (Message edited by johnod on March 25, 2016) (Message edited by johnod on March 25, 2016) |

As far as price it would depend on the set up and look. Anything over 200 total would push me off |

Will they make my S1 faster? If not, I'm out. |

They do help with shifting, therefore help go faster? or at least through the gears quicker.... however, these are not FAST bikes to begin with..... The Banke products were expensive as a set, much higher than the winning bidder paid for them through the ebay auction for a new set. I think as a set they were 450(ish)... and the last production run was when Al at American Sport Bike put together a group buy and offered it to the folks here on BadWeb. its also problematic that the brake pedal for the S2 is like no other brake pedal so they really are not interchangeable..and no longer readily available or even available at all for that matter.... |

I'd suggest you contact James Banke. http://www.bankeperformance.com/buell/buell.html Perhaps he would be interested in doing a short run. He has all the designs and the CCM tapes for the machining centers. Barry Hollister, CA |

I now have a template to use for the S2 brake pedal also. So I should be able to get pricing on brake pedals for all the tube frame Buells. The shift will only be S2, S3 & M2 right now. I'll need to experiment with the length for the S1. |

Does anybody have an S1 shifter? If so, I'd like a trace of the outline for dimensions. That part is longer than the shift lever for the S2/S3/M2 |

I'd love a sub-$200 option for an X1 shifter – mine is slightly bent and a bit wonky. |

I would be interested in a set for my S3T. I'm with Mtjm2,I think you should ask the shop what they would charge for different multiples. |

Dropped off the S2 parts for prototyping and pricing. I still need some help if anybody wants an S1 shifter (that would include me). I need some kind of measurement on the length. I'm not sure I can do the X1 parts. It looks like they mount differently than the other tubers. Thanks!! Dennis |

Are you speaking of the S1 boomerang style for measurments? Otherwise the X1 and S1 use the same updated shifter as in my pic? |

Dropping off my parts at the machine shop tomorrow to get quotes. I'll currently have the ability to get shifters for the S2, S3 and M2 as well as brake levers for the S1, S2, S3 and M2. Doing the S1 is going to take a little more time. I don't have a measurement on the proper length. I'll probably drop a part onto my S1 and take a measurement from there. I should have drawings and pricing next week. |
