After reading the Motorcycle.com article about the Aprilia vs KTM street bikes, my mind is just blown out by the incomparable great performance (and great price point) of the EBR 1190SX (&RX) models. What a superb purchase for you and any of the folks with any version of the EBRs. I would love that article to have included the EBR. Check out the vehicle weights!! http://www.motorcycle.com/shoot-outs/post_typeshoo t-outsp38371?utm_content=thumbbreaking&utm_medium= email&utm_campaign=motorcycle_breaking_news&utm_so urce=newmo20160425&utm_term=Motorcycle%20Breaking% 20News%20Subscribers |

I think we all can agree that the EBRs are an awesome bike at an unbelievable price. Unfortunately the multiple shutdowns and the way in which the EBR dealers and customers who bought EBRs before the closure were treated has absolutely destroyed the reputation of EBR. This is going to take a huge amount of effort on LAPs part to overcome. I hope they are up to the task and have the fortitude to stick it out for some time as I see them needing at least 2 years to even start having folks outside the small group of Buell faithful start looking at EBRs again. Mag. Are Dillon bros going to be selling the new LAP EBRS or are they just getting rid of the old ones they have in stock? |

@Bulliedan: Dillon Brothers only lists 2014s under new EBRs. See link http://www.dilloncycles.com/inventory/v1/Current/E rik-Buell-Racing?format=mhtml |

Buelliedan, When I was in there on Friday trading for my SX, they said they have signed up as a 2016 EBR Dealer. It sounded like there was some additional benefits for dealers, and customers that purchased bikes from the new 2016 dealers. I would rather let a rep from one of the new dealers comment on this, or someone from EBR. My opinion is this, if you are on the fence, BUY ONE! |

That's good news. Based on this and other posts at Badweb, sounds like they're up to 5 dealers now: Eaglerider Motorcycle Sales, Tempe, Arizona Rivas V-Twins, Fresno, California Dreyer Powersports, Whiteland, IN Dillon Brothers MotorSports, Omaha, Nebraska Action Powersports, Waukesha, Wisconsin (Message edited by Hughlysses on April 26, 2016) |

I live near a major metropolitan area (Cincinnati). My local EBR dealer is about the same distance as my local BMW motorcycle dealer. |

Dying to know why we have to dig and scrape the internet to figure out who dealers are ....... Very strange. |

That is pretty odd. Someone posted on ebrforum.com that White HD of Lebanon, PA has also signed up. I don't know- maybe LAP wants all inquiries to come through them, at least for now, so that they can keep track of interest? |

That could be... I know they are trying to put interested, potential customers in touch with the closest dealer that can help. |

Here is what they sent me , at 11:42 AM, William Bell <will@liquidap.com> > wrote: Tim, I wanted to reach back out to you about your interest in purchasing a 2016 EBR Motorcycle, and would like to thank you for your interest in EBR and patience for us getting back to you. As excited you are to get onto your new bike, we are just as excited to be able to get you in contact with one of our dealers to make this happen. It has been a very busy but exciting couple of months here. We have the new 2016 1190SX & 1190RX motorcycles rolling off the production line, and shipments are being scheduled out to our dealers. We have White’s Harley-Davidson out of Lebanon, PA that is signed up and is ready to get you all set up with a new bike. Please get back to me with your contact information, including the best number to reach you at, and which model looking at (I believe you are looking at the 1190RX). I want to be sure to hand deliver your information direct to White’s Harley-Davidson, so they can get you set up. If you have any questions please let me know and feel free to contact Ryan Norman from White’s directly at: 717-272-4986, Sales2@WhitesHarley.com, or you may go directly into their shop. Looks like someone did from the Texas dealer.... I thought so, anyway. I am betting a lot of dealers won't buy any 2016's unless they sell what they have left over, or someone specifically orders a 16 |

This is beginning to approach a workable dealership network. Not convenient for many people, but possible for anyone that really wants an EBR. (Message edited by Hughlysses on April 26, 2016) |

"Now we just need folks to actually go buy a 2016!!" It's been a tough year for me financially. Otherwise I'd be seriously considering a new SX. It's a fantastic bike for the price!! |

I just wanted to comment on Whites HD. Those guys are absolutely fantastic. I have bought 3 bikes from them in the past 4 or 5 years and have always been treated with the best customer service I have ever experienced. I bought 2 1125's and my Rx and they always went out of their way to make me happy. Even when my RX needed new fairings ( warranty )they ordered them and the they got shipped right before the shut down. They still put them on and fixed my bike knowing they would not get paid from EBR for the work. Ryan is a great guy and will make your buying experience stress free. The first service is even free. ^ No, it's "Freeway Powersports". EBR posted a pic of a soldier picking up a new 2016 1190SX there last week. Here's the list of dealers, based on info from EBR's Facebook page and posts on Badweb and ebrforum.com: ------------------------------------------------- Eaglerider Motorcycle Sales, Tempe, Arizona Rivas V-Twins, Fresno, California Dreyer Powersports, Whiteland, IN Dillon Brothers MotorSports, Omaha, Nebraska Big Boyz Toys, Marlboro, New york White's HD, Lebanon, Pennsylvania Freeway Powersports, El Paso, Texas Action Powersports, Waukesha, Wisconsin (Message edited by Hughlysses on April 28, 2016) |

That's a great start and a "network" I could work with to provide excellent service. Start filling toward the "long drive" areas . . . while being very selective about dealers. This could work. Someone needs to get in gear and do a better job of communicating if they expect to lay to rest some of the concerns that have crept into the faithful as well as prospective buyers. |
