I can tell you that you will really, really like the SX, Hugh. It is awesome in every respect. In terms of naked bikes, I've had an X-1, XBScg, 1125r converted to a CR. SX is better in every way. |

^ Dave- Fly and ride to Homecoming would be pretty cool. ^ Larry- I had a ~10 mile test ride on a good twisty road in North Carolina a little less than 2 years ago. In comparison to the CR I owned for ~1 year, that was my impression of the SX as well. I was especially amazed that they managed to find another ~40 HP in that basic engine design and seemingly make it more tractable at the same time. |

And if the spec sheets are to be believed, considerably better gas mileage too (always a big complaint for me regarding the old 1125r models). |

Fuel economy on my SX is somewhere between "suck" and "blow". Then again, it only gets ridden at events, so no slab to get the 50+ mpg that my 1125s can get. |

Priscilla consistently gets 47 on her RX. I consistently get 32 on my SX. Same as on our 1125. She gets 42, I get 30. Go figure. |

Hugh, I think I was there around the same time and took a test ride on the SX as well, the bike felt as if it was made for me. I've ridden a few bikes since then and NONE have the soul of the SX! |

LAP contacted me too, to see how they could help get me connected with a dealer... I got in touch with the recommended dealer, and they have completely worked with me on my trade, and I plan to ride home on a SX on Thursday. That just shows the personal connection LAP / EBR is willing to establish with its customers. There really is no other Motorcycle Manufacture in the world, that has anything even close to a 1190, and willing to do something like that to get one sale. I almost feel proud to be a part of it. I know that it is because of the current situation of EBR, but most would just go poof, and you would never see them again. That just shows me that there is a commitment from many to find a way, and make this work, and there are lots of people that are motivated by more than just money. |

86bgn Congrats on the new bike. I think you will love it. If possible see if you can get the exhaust tip kit and the matching ECM right away as it makes a world of difference in power and sound. |

Thanks Buelliedan, I know you put a big investment in EBR, I truly hope something gets worked out for you in the long term for your efforts in trying to help EBR succeed. Do you have a ECM, and Tip Kit left over? If so, can you PM me a price? Thanks man |

sorry I do not have any of the EBR exhaust tip kits available. Not even sure if EBR is offering them anymore but I would sure try to get one if you can. If you cannot get them from EBR I know of another company making the tips and I can get the ECM direct from IDS but it cost more than what EBR used to charge. |

CONGRATULATIONS . . . . . This may well be the FIRST bike sold in the new entity. Like I've said . . . nothing happens until there is a sale. It's exciting to see the attention to detail and customer satisfaction that the EBR/LAP team invested. Cool beans . . . (Message edited by court on April 20, 2016) |

The first (after the one that is going to charity) "Let Freedom Ring" RX sold out of Dreyer in Indiana. It is in transit to the new owner in Washington. I don't know if that is the first though. |

One of the old EBR dealers here is PA (Whites HD) has been advertising two leftover SX's for the past few months on craigslist for $10995. I've been tempted a few times, but I would have to empty my stable to do it.....and I can't bring myself to do that. |

Posted to EBR's Facebook page today:
quote:EBR Motorcycles is excited to announce Dreyer South Powersports/Dreyer Honda South out of Whiteland, Indiana as a dealer partner. Dreyer carried the Erik Buell Racing brand in 2013 as their first brand outside of Honda. Owners Terri and Steve, started Dreyer Honda South in 2005 after working in Terri's family's Dreyer Honda dealership that started selling motorcycles in 1958. They are the oldest Honda dealership in the United States! Terri and Steve’s daughter, Lauren, joined the family business at her great grandfathers shop in her early teens, working alongside her father in the parts department, and has been a key person at Dreyer Honda South ever since. If you are in the area or are passing by, be sure to stop in and say ‘Hello’ to them and the rest of the Dreyer Honda South team.

That a nice big Pegasus logo on the window right next to the open sign. With the gorgeous yellow RX it took awhile to notice it. |

Good question since the EBR website only 2016 1190SXs. No RXs for some reason even though we know they are doing the patriotic edition. |

^ There's a sort of glitch in the top menu. If you click on "motorcycles" from anything other than the home page, it takes you directly to the 1190SX page. |

Yes it was that glitch that caught me. The RX is there like you said but the pull downs seem to be acting up |

I rode my new Red 2014 SX home to Kansas City from Dillon Brothers MotorSports in Omaha Nebraska today. First, that dealership is hands down the best motorcycle dealership I have ever been in! Every single person I came in contact with was so happy, and friendly it honestly made me want to move to Omaha... Seriously.. Second, this bike is bad ass. It is everything I liked about my XB12STT, but with a LOT more of everything!!! Just the way it should be. amazing! Thanks EBR / LAP / and Colin at Dillon Brothers for making this one hell of a exciting day.
