I've got an 1125 with 18,000 miles on the original pads, rotor and fluid. Lately the front brake performance has degraded. I think the piston is sticking. I got a new master cylinder, and plan to change it out and run RBF600 fluid. I also got new pads. My question pertains to the rotor, is it possible to machine? If so, what is the minimum thickness? Also, Is there any place to get the EBR mounting kit? I checked their new site and its out of stock. |

I've done aftermarket pads, caliper rebuild kit, master cylinder rebuild kit, fluid flushes All helped, but the big difference has been changing to the Brembo RCS19 master cylinder. It's simply remarkable (Message edited by sprintst on April 21, 2016) |

That Brembo RCS19 master cylinder is not cheap. Do you have any photos of it on the bike? |

You don't have to go with an expensive RCS Brembo to get the improvements of a radial master. Brembo has masters with remote cylinders for half the price of a RCS. A 16x18 or 19x20 master would work. Or you can get a take off from a ZX6 or ZX10 or 04-07 R1 that can fit the 1125. There are quite a few threads on this. (Message edited by terrys1980 on April 24, 2016) |
