The rear subframe you built is literally exactly what i want to do with my X1. If only I knew how to bend pipe and weld... |

HAHA you guys saw that huh? Thats just a cheap airsoft pistol that needed a home. As for the rear subframe, i traced out the profile of the seat onto a metal sheet and then welded studs down where the curves were. Then i took the tubing and heated it up with a torch and bent it around the studs. |

Yea they would tag you here for the plate and light. They would say the plate is hiden because from the seat if a suburban its hidden and they would say the light is to small and cant be seen. I like it just wont work for me |

thats too bad. I didnt know that they had rules for the size of light. Its pretty bright with the turn signals built in. Here in jersey i have never been stopped. |

Its actually a personal opinion on size and brightness And the officers attitude. I have the plate with led and a strip so hopefully they lay off |

Love the bike. As much as I want to like X1s, something about them usually just looks off to me, the proportions just don't seem right. Yours looks awesome though. The smaller tail really fits on there well and the trellis looks awesome compared to the normal aluminum piece. As far as the keychain.... That's exactly what I was looking for before I gave up a couple weeks ago. This was actually the one that caught my eye on Google...http://thumbs.ebaystatic.com/images/g/6nsAAOSw3xJV W4fv/s-l225.jpg one question though, I know you said 1/8th inch steel, but how study does it feel between the head and wings? I'm sure glued on bodywork it's fine, but does it feel like it's something that could bend in the middle if it's floating around in a backpack or something for a while? It just looks like something I'd manage to break eventually haha. |

They are super sturdy at the bottom of the lightning bolt. I can see why you would ask. I will put it this way, Since my seat cover has a slight curve where the emblem went i want to bend it ever so slightly to contour it a bit better. So i placed the emblem on the edge of my desk right at the "weak spot" and it took a very significant amount of force to bend it even the slightest bit. I would have no concerns with it bending in a bag or pocket. |

Good question! Forgot to chime in that I'd be in for a pair of Buell and a pair of EBR if it helps teeter the decision to make some. |
