I have a few wheel stands that work great with my other bikes. But I'm scared shitless to use them on my S2. The lean angle is so severe that I'm afraid of dumping the bike. I've seen a lot of photos of people using a triangle stand. I'm guessing those are homemade? Any suggestions on getting the S2 vertical for maintenance and tire changes? |

I don't have an S2 but for my M2 I have a HF front wheel chock I roll into, then lift with my HF rear stand. |

I use a set of the typical bike lift stands, but I am always worried of dropping the bike so I don't attempt to hold the bike upright and lift it by myself always get the wife to assist. I would like to try the front ride in wheel chock sometime though. |

I remove tank cover and tail section using nylon straps around steering neck and around frame near oil tank. Then connecting with 2 comalongs using rafters connected to nylon webbing to rafters |

^^^ I did the same thing when I rebuilt my S1W. But that's a lot of work for a simple oil change |

Lake Bueller, The "triangle" style of stands were made by Bob Dron. I have a set and one of the Buell R&D stands (and others). Both would be fairly easy to replicate. I could take photos if you'd like. R |

You can always buy one of the inexpensive front wheel chocks from Harbor Freight for about $30 and bolt it to a length of 2 X 12. I just stick mine in the front of the trailer whenever I need to haul a bike. I put two pieces of wood hinged to the front of it to keep the chock from hitting the front of the trailer. It works fine on the garage floor too.

use Jack under shock front or rear to raise tire and in shop can use strap around steering neck to secure to rafters for safety |
