Author Message   Smokinjoez Posted on Wednesday, April 06, 2016 - 10:14 pm:        I have an issue that comes up occasionally and before I replace the instrument cluster, I was hoping someone had an idea of what is causing it. Sometimes while driving, the speedometer drops to 0, but the tach still reads normally. I can't duplicate it so I have to just explain it to the Harley guy. They said I was probably have to replace the cluster. Try to remove it and clean the internal sensor portion, reinstall and try again. Sometime you can bring it back. Thanks guys I will try to clean it and if doesn't work buy a new one. That's way cheaper than an entire instrument cluster.
