Ok so apparently the 2008 Buell 1125r can come with 2 different types of forks. As pictured I have the one with the PVC type innards. The issue is can I use these holes just like the metals ones? I am concerned about breaking them.

The PVC should be sufficiently strong to not break when you push down on it to unload the spring pressure on the cap, so you can unbolt the cap. This is the Fork Spring Compressor tool that I use to press down on the spacer: http://www.traxxion.com/Fork-Spring-Compressor-Kit -4017/ |

99buellx1 Seems like you know a lot about these. I got the tool and the issue is the entire thing moves downward. |

Sorry I can't be of more help. I always have had mine serviced by a track vendor. |
