I am looking for information on modifying the stock muffler. I remember a few years ago there were discussions about opening up the muffler and getting rid of some weight. |

Looking at the pictures in the linked thread and going by Dean's cut lines, I modded mine the same way (basically removing the U-bends in the rear-most section of the muffler and having the tips turned out). http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/763390.html?1434374353 I don't know about weight savings but it sure sounds better. |

No real weight savings. It's for increased sound only. If you want to drop a significant amount of weight, you need to go to a race can slip-on. |
