2006 XB12R

Black on Amber rims

6k miles

CRG levers
Gilles rearsets and foot controls
Sharkskinz full fairing and tail section
Micron Serpent exhaust.

All of the fasteners have corrosion from it sitting out at some point, but it appears to be pretty solid.

I was going to do the following:

1. New battery
2. New tires
3. New fluids
4. Adjust primary

Anything else before I go shake her down and try to dial in the bike? It may or may not have stock springs, the PO was a real numskull that knew nothing of the prior build.

Seriously though, you may have to get a used one if you're in a hurry. Last I checked front Isos are on backorder. If you ever want to get rid of the Micron, let me know. I want one. I have a 12 header and stainless drummer I can offer in trade.

If you go for a used front isolator ,don't get a early one!

I think the front is good, is there a spec on it?

The gap between the bottom of the washer and the rubber, what spec on the gap is normal? I'm not incredibly familiar.

I figured out pretty quickly how special that micron is lol.

It sounds like a RIOT above 4k. Anything below that sounds quieter than the race kit did new.

I thought that they were sharkskinz, turns out they are airtech. I've heard mixed reviews, but it looks like these have been re-enforced from a spill. They feel solid, and the mounts look stout as well.

I ordered the Gilles shifter toe peg, and dfilled all holes with Amsoil 20-50. I used an OEM HD filter.

Tires for double duty are orderd. Hopefully they will last 2 track days, as I am pretty sorry compared to the rubber.

I am going to try using Pirelli Supercorsa SP VP2, 120/70 and 180/55

I ordered a battery tender Lithium battery and charger package, 120 shipped.

After that, I am going to set sag at 30mm both ends, drop the front just 10mm or so, and start playing around.

If I start to get serious, next steps will be:

Penske rear shock with ride height adjust

09-up forks with ztl2 caliper

Better seating option: Foam over fiberglass?

09-up forks? I'm not familiar with any difference. Did they get 1125 size sliders? I bought a new set of CR forks with intent to mill the caliper side lower to center the wheel with XB triples. They have 47mm sliders instead of the 41 and 43mm XB sliders.

I was looking to do a 1125R front fork swap with triples. How plug and play is that?

I don't believe the 1125 triples fit. Someone tried it on a long frame. I don't know if a short frame would be different.

The 1125 triples do fit on the early (short) xb frames.

It depends on the fork stops on the lower triple ,the early xb have two and the 1125 has the same.
The later xb (long)serie has one bigger stop in the middle.
