Hey guys, i just got a waterjet at work and i had a little fun with it. I made another fiberglass passenger seat cowl for my X1 and thought having some tiny brushed stainless Pegasus emblems would be a nice touch. Here they are fresh off the jet and installed on the cowl. I will try and get a pick of the entire bike up later today. Heres a teaser in the meantime tho. Hope you enjoy. Sorry for my awkwardly dirty and close up picture of my palms lol.

Those look great! You should do up a pair of emblems in GLASS! I be that would be classy too. Have you tried cutting fiberglass reinforced plastic with it yet? I was curious as to how the edges would look or if it would de-laminate the stuff. |

I have only done steel and 1/2" thick lexan. the lexan reacted very well. There was a little bit of stress where the pierce point was, but once it was through and cutting it was smooth sailing. came out perfect with a very nice edge. |

I havent really thought about that. I can definitely cut some more out if enough people are interested. I can also design it with a little loop in it so it can be used as a keychain if thats what you want as well. Lets see how many would want some and we can take it from there. |

I need these in my life. Could you also possibly do the EBR Pegasus? I have the EBR Pegasus tattooed on my arm. |

I'd probably take a pair. A loop through the eye would make a great keychain |

wow guys. I wasnt expecting this much of a response. I will try to answer as best i can. Yes i can definitely do an EBR one. Also i guess you could just put the keychain through the eye. I could make it slightly bigger if need be. As far as price goes, i have no idea. I was never intending to start selling them so it was never a thought. What do you guys think a fair price? They are made with stainless 1/8" thick. they are solid. |

Also as promised, heres my X1 with the new seat cowl and emblems i made. I think i matched the paint pretty well considering it was using home depot rattle cans.

Usually not one for anything not original, but damn, that is a fine looking X1. Very nicely done. |

Thanks Fallout. The rear seat loop was bent and welded by me, i took a stock seat and shortened the seat pan by about 3" and then shaped the foam and re-upholstered, Moto bars, and a ducati monster fly screen, and then i layed down the gauges. I tried to make it custom an unique without going to outside the box. |

Mike - I sell keychains that are 1/8" 304 SS, cut on a waterjet machine, and then they are ground down on one end for a small pry/flathead driver. Also they're put in a media tumbler to smooth the edges. They are about the size youve listed, 3x1.5. I pay about 4.50/ea with a 100 quantity order from the shop (price goes up just a little if I do 50 pieces. So that said, what you have there, being just the water jet and then tumbling (assuming on that part), I'd assume you could sell for 6/7 bucks and make a few dollars profit (I was paying 4.50 and the shop was making money) each one. Now keep in mind you'll have another 50c (approx) in packaging materials, less is possible, but if you spend more than that then youre just pissing away money on fancy stuff. Shipping would be the minimum they (USPS) charges, which is about $3, that said, charging an extra buck helps cover your gas and time when youre mailing 5-10 packages at a time. Just giving tips from my experience, do what you will with it. And, again, I have work that needs to be done - PM me if you want to waterjet some pieces for me and get some extra cash coming in. |

S1owner- I have the plate bolted to the blue underpan i made. You can kinda see the dark blue in the seat tail section. As for the taillight, i used a thin LED tailight strip with the blinkers integrated. Like this- http://www.ebay.com/itm/Motorcycle-LED-License-Bra ke-Tail-Light-Turn-Signals-for-Bobber-Cafe-Racer-A TV-/191720460874?hash=item2ca36e124a:g:Y~sAAOSw~bF WJuCr&vxp=mtr I will snap a pic when i get home from work later. Hybrid - Thanks for the info that does help. I am thinking maybe $20 for a pair and $30 for 2 pair? That too much? Give me some feedback here guys lol. Also i would be interested in doing some jet work for you but it would have to be done after hours and on weekends of course. Kind of at the mercy of the workload at the time. Danny - Your too kind. Its nowhere near the caliber of Purpony's buell. But i do love it. It will get there one day. The bike will never be sold and it only has 10K miles on it. So it still has alot of mods in its future. |

I just used 3M VHB double stick tape and carefully trimmed around the edges. |

I, personally, would have no problem spending 30 on two pair of these, very reasonable price! |
