Waiting for the dealer network to get released for the 2016 models... salesperson @ Hal's HD in New Berlin, WI stated they are out at this time. Wow, that was unexpected!! |

.and I quote "I will not pay for someones racing hobby". I still do not know what HD was thinking getting a guy who did not even ride motorcycles to run the company!! |

I remember finding an article on line shortly after the closure- where Johnson Controls (Wandell's previous employer) made it company policy in Europe that employees were not allowed to ride motorcycles while on the job. It wouldn't surprise me in the least to find out he was behind that policy. |

They needed a hatchet man who didn't have any ties to, or friends in, the industry. He was the perfect candidate. |

Are there any chaps that aren't assless? |

By definition all chaps are "assless." If they have material that covers ones butt (and the back of the legs), then they are "pants." |

The assless chaps are in aisle 5 by the sleeveless vests... |

While chaps, by definition, are assless, I still feel adding "assless" before saying "chaps" just helps paint the picture |

I think it's true, and I think for once there are people involved that are motivated by more than money, with the best of intentions for the brand, the community, and the enthusiasts that love Buells. |

Somewhat off topic but still related to the relaunch of EBR... Can somebody PM me the phone number for the factory? Or a number to call regarding the parts for sale? I want a few items and have a friend that will pick them up for me. But I need to know some pricing first. Thanks!!! Dennis S1W, S3T, S2T |

Prices are now posted on the LAP web site. The prices are 20% less than retail. |

Photos on LAP's website and on Facebook show a lot of old Buell parts for sale as well, but these are not included on the EBR parts list or the list of surplus equipment, but they're for sale. The stuff includes engines, forks, wheels, bodywork, seats, etc. a lot of the stuff looks like it came from the race program. There's even a whole box of new 1125CR forks. The pricing on the NOS tuber parts is not on that list. I don't believe the "cash and carry" parts are listed. There is S2 bodywork, front forks, etc. that I can't find on the LAP website. |

Posted to EBR's Facebook page this afternoon:
quote:Always good, always looking for better... The EBR Motorcycles team did our first “Tire Kick” review of the 2016’s that came off the assembly line this month. All lined up, each bike is carefully inspected and reviewed by our team for fit, finish, and overall quality. These beasts are made in East Troy, Wisconsin, and are exceptional examples of a hand-crafted American Sportbike.

Unfortunately it looks like MCC is not a dealer anymore. We lost a lot of money selling the bikes we had in stock. There was no perk to stay a dealer,no dealer pricing on parts.I will still own Buell's and race my RX. I will try to help you guys out when I can in service |

Speedy13, have you guys sold all your EBR's on the floor now? I saw a Laguna Blue still showing up on cycletrader.com last week from the MCC dealership. FWIW, from what I saw while there those sales people there didn't push them like they did the ducati and other euro brands they sold. |

We still have a blue SX. It was a demo with maybe a few hundred miles I think. We only had very lowball offers. I think we lost about 3-4K per bike this past year that we did sell. Doesn't give sales much incentive to push them. In my own opinion, having wrenched on Buell products since the early 90's having,I prefer these over our other brands.Lower repair cost, easier to work on, less "characteristics" |

"There was no perk to stay a dealer,no dealer pricing on parts" This was one of the big reasons I am also declining to be a dealer again. I just do not understand what LAP is thinking not having the dealers sell the parts as that is a significant chunk of the business. (Message edited by buelliedan on April 04, 2016) |

Are you guys (BuellieDan & Speedy) saying that dealers had zero margin in the parts pricing??!! Or, was it that EBR/LAP would handle all OEM parts sales? Either way, that's downright crazy. (Message edited by snacktoast on April 04, 2016) |

^ Good question. AF1 Racing posted at ebrforum.com that as of 3/28/16, all parts show "out of stock" in PartsUlimited's inventory. Thread here: http://ebrforum.com/showthread.php?953-Parts-Unlim ited-still-has-EBR-parts-wrong-info/page2 |

LAP has not to date offered us any of the parts sales which was a major part of the EBR business in the past and where we made decent margins. It seems like they are wanting to keep that all to themselves. |
