Who is going to attend? It'll be nice to put some faces with the anonymous internet names. I'm going; coming up from Indianapolis, roughly 300 miles. |

I'm going. Hope it's not raining. I don't own a rain suit. LOL Have to finish putting a few things back on after doing valve adjustment and install new voltage regulator. |

Made it to the open house. I wasn't the only one riding. Forgot to take pictures of the people that did ride. The tour was pretty nice, wouldn't let me take any inside pictures though. Checked out the excess parts, no bargains there. they wanted $600 for one stock 1125r wheel, guess they think that stuff was gold. One fork $600. Walked out with a t-shirt at least. Was definitely a good experience. |

FYI, the 600$ rear wheels were new magnesium. There were tons of wheels for 125-300$ |

Mmmm I talked to Mike the guy I know that works there and asked him specifically about that wheel and he never said they were mag. guess he didn't know. I just thought the ones on the end were were stock.

As far as I know no bikes for sale there. There was a guy there that works for Action Power Sports and they have some 2015 SX models for sale at $10,999. It sounded like they just got them not to long ago. No warranty though. He said something about buying an extended warranty from them. |

That's be low on my list . . .trailer graphics are expensive . . . I'd handle it, for now, with a can of Krylon orange spray paint. Or . . .add some tagging to change it to . . . . "My HERO turned out to be a looser" |

From the photos I have seen, the majority of the demographic attending the grand restart of EBR unfortunately do not look to be people that will purchase a sport bike. |

"From the photos I have seen, the majority of the demographic attending the grand restart of EBR unfortunately do not look to be people that will purchase a sport bike." Those are small town local's touring the (local employer) factory and being sociable. You are not going to get the high-end superbike-buying demographic at a factory reopening open house; except for those of us owners and the EBR well-wishers who were fortunate enough to have attended. You will get the buying demographic through marketing to educated and/or experienced riders, thrill seekers, and more well-to-do individuals with disposable incomes. In other terms, look to the demographic type who has already purchased an EBR as those individuals are the type to likely purchase a bike like this. |

I would not have been surprised to have seen. Based on days long gone by ..... 2 or 3 folks leave with new bikes. It will be telling to see ..... Of the several hundred attending ..... How many gladly proclaim placing their order or picking up their new EBR in the next 2 or 3 weeks. With the production line now producing ..... Even at a slow rate as Dave G indicated......the next step .....is sales. Nothing ....NOTHING ..... happens without sales. That's one thing that always concerned me about EBR was that massive disconnect between enthusiasm ....people who wanted one ..... And the small number who actually wrote the check. Hopefully the newly announce, much reduced, MSRP will resolve that. |

Well I know at least one guy that went and bought one yesterday after seeing the pics and info from his brother who attended. He got a 2015 grey sx. No warranty, $10,999 from Action Powersports in WI |

^^^ That is good to hear. One more bike on the road advertising should be good for a future sale of a new bike, and double good for the parts supple chain as well. |

Nothing ....NOTHING ..... happens without sales. And there are no sales without marketing. Hopefully the newly announce, much reduced, MSRP will resolve that. With all due respect, I disagree to that. Price is irrelevant if nobody knows about it. IMHO best is to let everybody know this is a $19k superbike. Big ads, riders test, websites... and then, after all that, the special price for fiercely independent customers: Half off. Now let's go get one. |

An article about EBR re-opening is not enough marketing. An article about what their product is/can do/how it compares/and its value in the marketplace IS marketing. But all that cannot be successfully achieved without EBR doing their part to market their products and build a dealer network that shares the same confidence and excitement as EBR does. Just about every cycle mag has an article on EBR whether it's about the closure or the re-opening, that there is plenty of marketing by itself There has been very little in the press since the open house; I've only seen 4 or 5 mentions and most of those just posted the latest press release. I was really hoping to see a LOT more on the various motorcycle magazine sites by today. Hopefully Cycle World will have a big article shortly. |

There are so many different stories being told sameultimeously that I suspect the "non-enthusiast" motorcyclist has no clue what is going on at EBR. For entertainment I am thinking about going to the local sportbike dealer (they have several hundred bikes in stock) and asking random folks "what to you think about the most recent news out of EBR?" and see what reactions I get. |

Court, Peter Egan from Cycle World wrote,"I arrived on Friday morning to find a nice turnout of Buell and EBR bikes in front of the building–despite the gray, chilly spring weather–and about 100 bike owners and acolytes of the brand gathered to take tours of the factory (another 400 showed up during the day)." |
