Interesting, according to his LinkedIn profile, he worked at EBR from September 2013 to September 2014. Here's a list of his accomplishments:
- Designed nonfunctional twin cylinder engine for futuristic show motorcycle
- Built several prototype four-stroke engines for various types of testing
- Collaborated with a Japanese engine design firm to convey technical information, ideas, engine layouts, design changes, and enhancements for optimization of powertrains
- Utilized Solidworks to design engine components and optimized them for production
- Communicated with suppliers to develop parts and manufacturing processes
- Performed tolerance stackups on powertrain components and utilized GD&T to create production
- drawings
- Developed test procedures to analyze and troubleshoot prototype engine problems
- Analyzed single cylinder engine balance characteristics and modified crankshaft design to suite
- Test rode bikes to ensure they perform as intended
There are some very interesting tidbits of info in that list. |

^^^^^ Impressive resume, and sounds about right for what EBR was doing during that time. LAP should scoop him back up from wherever he is currently using his talent. |

Claus invited Paul (they're both from Siren WI) to come along to Bonneville a couple of years. I wasn't there the second year he came along but I think (can't remember for sure), he rode the MPS 1350 bike that year (2011). I talked to him a few years later at EBR during Homecoming (2014) - not sure why he left. |

Court - from Paul Oleson's blog.. Also, as I recently found out your first job may not be the perfect job or even what you had expected. It will take time to figure out what you want out of a career, what you're willing to tolerate, and what you enjoy the most. For me, I thought EBR was going to be a great fit but I resigned at the end of August because I wasn't doing what I wanted and didn't agree with some of the things going on there. I gave it a year, tried it, and now I'm trying something else. My passion is two-stroke engines, helping folks learn about motorcycles, and I have quite a bit of entrepreneurial spirit so I'm going to spend my time trying to create a couple businesses for myself which revolve around those things. If it works, great, if not, I tried, and can always find another job. What I want you to take away from all this is that you shouldn't be scared to go after the things you really want! |

Well if he can develop the clean burning two-stroke at twice the power and half the weight of a four-stroke, ahem, more power to him. |
