Once again "the motor company" HD brings out its newest and greatest in the Street cycle. And once again they have retroed back to a bike I had in the '80's, a nice Honda VT500 Ascot, below, only mine was in red. Even their "new technology" is left behind in 1984. Their vision sucks and far from Erik's visions of "new". HD was Eriks first Villan but only when they shut him down. Ya, I'm probably due for a cruiser at my age but I gravitate toward a Victory or Indian, maybe even a BMW boxer again. But I'll never have the personal experience I've had with Erik & the Elves, my M2 and my 1125R. Greatest riding in my life. Thank you and come back yet again Erik. Bob

^ Ha! I still have one. The Street is amazingly like the Ascot and early Shadow. Now if HD would just make a version of the 750 that was street tracker styled like the Ascot, they'd have something. |

So, I think what you guys are saying is Harley needs to bring back the Erik Buell designed FXR model. Well balanced and best handling bike Harley ever produced. |

Was that the early to mid 80s? Wife wont ride the S3T with me so maybe I will have to move on to the FXR? She likes the throne on the back of the Ultra Glide we have rented a couple of times. I would like to take a harder look at a Ulysses first. No room for multiple bikes at this time. What if EBR came out with a bike something like a cross between a Ulysses and an FXR? A cross between a Ulysses and an FXR would be the 1987 and up FXRT. Hard bags, tall windshield, aero fairing, 80 watt AM/FM stereo & cassette, electric operated anti-dive air accumulator front suspension, touring seat options, excellent handling - that's about all I needed when I had mine. But, all those things wrapped around EBR's latest think chassis & engine would be AWESOME! |

My wife has no patience for traveling, she just wants to "get there" whether by trains, planes or automobiles However...she never complained about riding on the back of the Ulysses, she actually smiled...all of the time. Try it You will like it! |
