Am replacing my front isolator with the newer part. According to instructions with part, it mounts below frame. My old one was mounted on top of frame. Am I reading it wrong, or???? Also I noticed there is no big washer on the top of the rubber like the old one, just a regular washer, is this right? Thanks |

You are reading it correctly, what I did on mine was grind a flat on the top of the new isolator to simulate the D washer on the original isolator as I too wanted mine mounted on top of the frame rather than hang below the frame. The big washer is molded into the new isolator this is why I had to grind a flat on it to clear the back side of the head stock tube. I hope this makes sense to you |

Yes that makes sense, having just taken it apart,I know what you're saying. I'll have a look at doing it your way. Thanks. |

The instructions that came with mine state that if you do not have a notched frame S2, then you should place the isolator below the frame. S2s with notched frames can install above. |
