I believe those were also an optional set of PM wheels with a matching pulley. I came across an S1 with 6 spoke PM wheels in Austin a few years back. I tried to get it just for the wheels. Guy ended up selling for less than I offered. (Message edited by blackm2 on February 03, 2016) |

The way they are split and matching pulley heavily implies they are PMs. They made a lot of different styles of wheels like that that in the '90s. |

I thought they resembled PMs as well, guess I just figured if they made multiple styles that fit on tubers i'd have seen them at some point over the years. |

OLD SCHOOL: These wheels are PERFORMANCE MACHINE(PM)(USA) ... These are the heaviest of the other BUELL WHEELS which were CASTALLOY(AUSTRAILIA) and MARCHESINI(ITALY)... (Message edited by buellistic on February 03, 2016) |

Thanks Lafayette. Actually Marchesini is Italian and Cast Alloy the Australian company. Buell switched to Cast Alloy about the same time Harley bought Cast Alloy to keep it from going under, since they supplied HD all their cast wheels. |

A couple years back there was a post with pictures from all the pm wheels they used for the early buells. Whitetrashxb is that your new S1 purchase? |

I've never seen 5 spoke PMs on a Buell before. They sure look like PMs, but likely never came as a stock option on a Buell. |

That's because he is correcting Buellistic. He didn't "spelt" it wrong. Cast Alloy was out of Australia. |

The Factory option PMs were a slanted version of PM Chicane wheels, which PM made as an aftermarket option for a variety of brands. PM made many more styles with the "split spokes" that the wheels above and Buell option PM wheels shared. Someone who owned or owns the S1 above simply bought a set of PMs through a retailer other than Buell, to get that particular style. |
