Well it only took a bit over a year or so but here she is. She runs nice and can't wait to twist it up a bit more. NRHS 1250 kit and stage 2 head work, Thanks Dan and Ross. Aaron at Hammer performance for his help with parts. New 42 Mikuni and a ton of new stuff from Lance at St.Paul and Al at American Sport Bike. Damn how long should I wait guys to wick it up? Really fun build and thanks to all you guys here for your help, Chuck.

I love that these are still being rebuilt! Nice rebuild. Any idea of the power it will put out with all the performance upgrades? |

As to wicking it up, get with the NRHS folks about break-in procedure. Second choice would be the break-in process spelled out in the owners manual. Hope this helps, Dave |

I really have no idea to tell you the truth, i would think someone here would know. I would think with higher compression bigger valves and the porting it should be enough to feel! lol But i think it sounds a bit healthier if thats possible? But i can tell you that it's hard not to just jump on it. Chuck. |

Looking real good You only have to wait on a frame brace and pulley cover now! What kind of clutch cover is that? |

Wow that is really nice. The frame is too pretty to bolt on a frame brace, unless it can be made to fit in somehow, powdercoat maybe? But what is the little black box on the left side of the gas tank? And why is the front shock mount silver, paint or aluminum? Those passenger footpeg mounting tabs sort of stick out now, I'm looking for a way to keep mine but cover them up somehow. |

The black box is a GoPro camera, i polished the triple trees and i do have a frame brace ordered. I have some chrome spacers for the rear peg mounts, yea i really don't want to cut them off. |

I have that same clutch cover sitting on my shelf. Pulled it off my Sportster before I sold it. Didn't think it would match the Buell, but you may have changed my mind... |

Not saying to do it but one of my old ideas was to cut the rear triangles off sleeve them so you could put them back on and off with a simple pin or lock ring Nice build good tastefull choices! |

Looks great, thanks for sharing! Will you let us know how you end up doing the break-in procedure? (I'd be curious what NRHS recommends) |

NRHS recommends 4-5 1 min heat cycles, with full cool down in between, then pretty much keep it under 3,000 RPM for the first 500 miles and change the oil at that point. That's what Dan told me and how I've broken in my builds. |

Thanks guys, 500 miles?? Well I will try my best to wait. Going to take it on a longer ride this weekend up the coast and back. I have done the heat cycles already and maybe 70 miles or so. |
