Just wondering if anyone has anything along these lines? I have looked at the JR Phoenix "mesh" pants but have seen a few less then steller reviews on them. Something I am now looking at is the ICON TiMax Mesh pants. I would like something with the armour if possible but I am looking for super breathability. I had also considered the ICON Recon jeans or the Draggin' jeans but neither offers armour in them. Just curious what you fellas may have or use, and what you have to say about em.. Thanks in advance! |

The First Gear speed pants, while not mesh, are made out of a breathable fabric, and they have leather in the parts most likely to meet the road. Other parts are cordura, and the back of the knees, crotch etc are some kind stretchy breathy stuff. I have a pair, and am quite happy with them. They also have a zipper in the back which should attach to a number of jackets. |

How are they during the really hot months of the season?? Do they feel nice and airy or do you end up ditching them for blue jeans?? I'm trying to find something for the super hot days. I been wearing my new leathers everytime I ride now and have grown rather fond of them. The pants are awesome for wind etc I ride in to work in jeans and man I don't like that now! haha looking for something to use in place of the leathers on those days its just too hot for leather. I have one of the Phoenix mesh jackets so now I am trying to track down some pants! Thanks for the input though I will check them out! |

I wear them in Houston. (It's gets rather hot here.) Nice and airy are not adjectives I would apply to anything but a small gauze loincloth in the summertime here. They don't seem any hotter than a pair of jeans. In fact, the vented knees and crotch really help out quite a bit once you're moving. |

First Gear pants are like wearing shorts compared to jeans. Both my wife and I have a pair. Black isn't good in the Florida sun but while you're moving........just a coool breeze.

They seem like nice pants but seem a little bit heavier then what I was hoping for. I will have to check them out in person. I appreciate the recomendation! |

I don't own a set of the pants, but am quite impressed with the Mach 2 mesh jacket Fieldsheer makes. The thing I really like is they come stock with CE rated armor. Certainly worth looking at anyway: Fieldsheer mesh pants |

I've got a pair of the Fieldsheer Sonic Air mesh pants, and they're really terrific in hot weather. Lots of protection and lots of air movement. |

Cycleport (http://www.motoport.com) has a couple of items, Ultra II Cordura and Ultra II Kevlar, that would work. Good armor, can be worn over street clothes or just shorts, lots of airflow. They don't come with a liner for cooler or wet weather, but one is available. I have an Ultra II Cordura jacket and it works quite well in hot (the classic Midwestern 90/90 situation) weather. |
