Gonna try tomorrow to fit the brace my machinist made with the front bracket that came with it to one of my S2's. Then will mount with the banke front brackets as well. See if there is any difference and if so will have a differant bracket made as well. after doing a little searching on badweb, I figured out they started making them part of the frame in 99

Well if that's the case then I only need one. I'll have to check out both of my bikes to confirm. |

Only bikes that need them are s1 and 97-98 s3. |

S2 models can also benefit from a brace. |

'S2 models can also benefit from a brace.' as can the 97/98 M2s |

Here is the jefc73 brace on the S2. The front bracket that is shown in pics will be used for all S2 models. Both front brackets fit but this one was a little easier to put together. |

Yeah, forgot about the early m2. Sorry. The s2 front v brace is formed of straight tube sections and does not need to be braced. M2 s1 and s3 are formed of curved tubes. |

Interesting. In 2014 when I bought one of yours I fought with it for over an hour trying to get it to fit. Maybe I just got the short of the stick on that brace. |

The first few times I had my S2 on a dyno I was astonished by how much the front "v-bracket" part of the frame flexed. I was wondering how to eliminate the flexing when Tat Marcy began offering a really robust round tube style of brace which I installed several years ago. |

The round tube brace was made by WesTek. |

I didn't mean to imply that Tat was the manufacturer, West Tek made some really nice products. At the time, Tat was buying a few products of mine, so I usually would try to buy from him if possible. |

Should be able to keep them to $125/$130 range. Have to stop by and get hardware cost and then add the shipping. will do everything through paypal. Would like to have the funds sent as friends to keep the cost down. I will update the thread when done, send out tracking when shipped etc. Will let everyone know final cost and when and where to send money within the next few days. |
