I'm in for one as well. Not sure on the fitment, but I would like one for a S1. I'm guessing one size fits all? Jolly get on the mount block/swingarm braces. |

I wanted to clarify my comment about fitting S2s. The only issue with S2s is the steel front bracket that connects from the brace to the front tie rod mount. It needs to have a different bend and holes to line up, compared to all other 96-98 tubers. The aluminum brace itself is identical. |

So let's try this out. If your name isn't on this list, copy/paste it and add your name with quantity at the bottom. This way we can keep a running count as we work out the details. So are we sure this will fit an S2 or are we sure it won't? Jeff can you weigh in on this, it's your piece? |

ps I WANT BRACE but don't need small hardware connector (steel Front Bracket) Because it won't fit S2 Frame. Butch |

My two S2's pictured above have the Banke brace on them. They both fit no problem. I have one of the braces my machinist made and when I get the chance I will mount it up and take a pic. |

The brace isn't the issue. The aluminum brace is identical between all models. The steel L bracket in front is the piece that is different on the S2. Take the L bracket off the S2 and compare it to the S1 L bracket and you'll see the difference. I had one of the braces you had made before and tried to install it. The L bracket did not line up. It is different. |

Slight tangent: how are these compared to the Stenzil braces I've seen mentioned here and on other threads & previously batch made? DAve |

Dave, this thread may help you. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/47623/396773.html?1224722734 I already have Jeff's brace mounted on an S1, but I have read enough on the Stenzel brace that I'm thinking it is something to seriously consider, maybe more important than the frame brace. Not to mention that I read somewhere that many of the Buell owners in Europe use the Stenzel brace. I see common folks on this thread and the 2008 thread above...Phelan and Ebutch. Questions: 1. How does this frame brace and the Stenzel brace work together? By that I mean, if I have tightened up the frame with the frame brace would I be transferring a load elsewhere? Does the Stenzel brace work in tandem with the frame brace? 2. It has been 8 years since the above link discussion. If anyone has both braces attached, what has been your experience? Has the Stenzel brace stopped the blown front Isolators these folks were experiencing?

The frame brace is for frame rigidity and the stenzels brace ties the upper motor mount and mid tie link together. Serve two different purposes. The stenzels are designed to help load on the front mount area and to try and eliminate torsional load by tying the front mount and upper rear tie link together. Their for eliminating the rocking forward and backward of the motor. Re-distribution of the stress risers out of the front mount area and in theory saving the breakage of mount components. |

For those of you fitting this to an S2, you're wasting your time and money. Unless you just like the way it looks. |
