It's been unusually warm here in Pennsyltucky so I rode into work today on the Useless in a drizzle and rode home (50 miles) in a downpour. I'm nearly home and as I'm stuck at a light I think, "I really love this bike, it's been a really good one, it deserves a complete make over" and suddenly the pile uh shit starts running on one cylinder, I manage to rev it enough to get the front cylinder to cut back in, as I'm nearing my house it lets loose with a backfire and dies, I get it going again and it conks out as I coast into the driveway. I know that motorcycles can hear you but when they can read your mind, well, that worries me! |

At least it made it home! Sounds like you're in need of a new front plug wire. Must be rubbing on the frame like mine did. Hope it's that easy! |

Or at your mileage, could also be a coil. I had half of one go bad at 73,000 and had to replace it. |

My Uly did that once. Fortunately I was headed downhill, and there was a gas station at the bottom of the hill. |

I'll break down and buy it some new leads when the motor comes down. It was just funny how it instantly screwed up right after I thought about what a great bike it's been! |
