And? My focus remains on saving EBR intact, which I imagine would be good for you, Dan, and everyone else here as well. Monday was quite a marathon. Two hours sleep, left my house at 2:30 AM for a 5:00 AM flight to Chicago, drove to the Courthouse, made my objections, stopped the liquidation, drove back to Chicago, flew back to Philly, drove home and crashed. Got up the next morning and went back to work saving EBR. Sorry I missed your email in the process. (Message edited by bruce_belfer on December 17, 2015) |

I AM STILL STRONGLY PULLING FOR Bruce/Erik but Buelliedan I understand your take in all of this 100%. I hope you salvage something from this eventually. |

There is no salvaging any of this unless EBR remains intact and viable. I put 9 months and half a million dollars where my mouth is so far, and my attitude remains positive and confident. Dan, called your office and got the machine. You have my cell number. |

I am mostly with Court on this, it may be too late but then I think back to the two years Erik feeding himself and his daughters on nothing but mac and cheese and in a good week peanut butter and I say heck Erik's been 6 feet under a couple or four times, once quite literally, and he always rises back up so I am not counting him out. Tough road sure but... May not be the way we expect but it will be something. |

Sadly, I see more positive support on FB than here. Who would have thought. Some asked what can we do. We can change the attitudes and tone here. Bruce is obviously working on this. Cut the man some slack. The last thing he needs is to read a bunch of negativity here. I imagine he and Erik will have quite the stories to tell in a few years. Hope I get to hear those in person actually. For anyone that has bought a house, you should know it only takes 1 small thing or person for that matter, to screw up a deal, create delays, financing falling through, outbid, etc. Bruce I applaud you for sticking this out, especially while reading a bunch of this crap, and wish you and the others the best. |

My life experience (although I have not purchased companies)? If the purchase is a pain in the a$$, ownership will be a breeze! Stick it out Bruce. Can't wait to hear the story at Homecoming '16 |

Bruce, I hope you are able to save the company. I recently (two weeks ago or so) bought a 2006 Uly based on value and price. |

I haven't chimed in here just because I'm waiting for the actual players to get done with their "stuff", and not spreading or asking any nonsense crap, like there a bit too much here. But since Bruce has checked in a coupla times, Wishing nothing but the best for Bruce, Erik, and the rest of us, and to come to a positive end soon. Back to driving my RX 84.9 miles a day, daily. Kinda my thinking . . . and I can identify with that schedule . . . I've been on 7 flights this week . . . hahaha . . all trying to avoid making ONE flight to Constantine Algeria (See C.I.A. World Fact Book. I'm giving Bruce credit for at least knowing to make HIS deals in places where ISIS, "Men who write in Blood", Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC) and Al Qaeda are not scuffling. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. |

Take that trip. Constantine is supposedly one of the most beautiful places on earth. Sucks with religious based squabbling hampers our abilities to visit beautiful places and treasures. |

Bruce is there any thing we of the bad web can do to help you with your case with the judge? Like bury the judge in Email to keep EBR open. Good luck |

I live in Madison, Wi. and I'm retired. I can easily be there to help fill the room. Just let it be known as to where and when. Thanks Bruce. |

It would seem that since Bruce has been paying the creative talent at EBR, that he should be able to apply that money to any bid he can make now, thus effectively upping his bid by that amount. It would be nice to keep it whole, and to employ people to make it run, and that is something that eventually should be put into the equation of who wins the auction. That said, it might not remain in the current location, smart money would be to move it to another state where they are offering large cash and tax incentives to start/move/expand a business and NY is offering some pretty big incentives right now. Central New York would be a welcoming place for a manufacturer to put down new roots. |

Actually ...... If it would help ...... I have experience doing JUST that with the local powers that be and Walworth County Business Development folks the last time we did this. If there's a need or something we can do to help ..... I'd be in big time. I've been wrapped up, in one way or another, with BUELL business since 1988. Court |

Happy to help in any way you think would be appropriate. Letter already out to the court. Let us all know if anything else to do, now or in the future. |

Yes, letters to the Court are helpful. Letters from residents of Wisconsin, and particularly Walworth County are extra helpful. Connections to the local government, beyond those we have already made, will also be helpful going forward. Thanks for the support, my friends. Never quit! Bruce |

Walworth County is VERY receptive .... Generally .... To anything related to economic development. I met with them in 2009 when we were scrambling for a foothold. They have, or had, a host of initiatives. R |

Thanks for all your continued and tireless effort on this, Bruce! I'm new to this kind of thing, and I'm not a Wisconsin resident. What, if anything, should I say in a letter and to whom should it be addressed? |

From a Facebook post in the 1190 Owners Group:
quote:Formal written objections to the sale to Liquid Asset Partners to be submitted to Judge Koss by January 6th. Hearing continuance till January 14th at 8:30am.
CASE# 15CV00247 - Branch I - CIVIL Judge: Hon. Phillip A. Koss Mailing address: Walworth County Clerk of Courts P.O. Box 1001 Elkhorn, WI 53121 I'd think you should include the information on the case number and judge in the heading of your letter to ensure it gets to the right person. Thanks for the address, Hughlysses! But, what should I say in the letter exactly? Just "I object the sale of EBR to a liquidator?" Not sure what kind of detail is important to put in such a letter. |

What do these letters need to say? How a liquidation would affect you. Your investment in EBR motorcycles. American manufacturing jobs. Basically just tell the Court why liquidation is a bad thing and why EBR should be kept alive and intact. Your personal reasons are fine, so long as they're real and truthful. Don't make things up. That's what these letters need to say, no more, no less. |
